RE: Sunday Service Herts County Showground
Discussion
My thoughts:
Great location, very easy to get to, no queues for a change was ace. Please do more here!
Food was excellent. Queuing 30 mins for it was unacceptable.
Freebies much appreciated, especially the Dunlop hat, came in handy on the way home.
This was the first PHSS I've been to that felt nothing more than a car park. Atmosphere was a bit flat, with nothing to do/see.

Glad everyone enjoyed the day - as some of you are rightly saying the queue for the food was a bit on the long side, but at least it was good quality and worth the wait.
Regarding the raffle for the Dunlop Tyres and Porsche Driving Experience, we'll draw it tomorrow and announce it on the event write up, so hold on to your tickets and check the site tomorrow PM.
Lastly, we had a set of prescription specs handed in (found near the motorbikes) - if anyone is struggling to read this and can't find their specs then let me know and we'll reunite you with your glasses!
Thanks again,
JD

Can we have some PHSS events oop north please???
This has been asked before and is a good idea but not many/any car companies north of Jaguar that can host. If you look at the host companies in the past, Jag, Land Rover, Mercedes, Nissan, BMW, Rolls Royce, Goodwood, Vauxhall they are based down sarf.luke g28 said:
Lovely pictures, what did you use to take them? Have you edited at all or is this 'as they come'?
Just a 9 year old full frame camera (Canon 5D Classic) and a Canon 50mm f1.4 lens (a few were taken on 28/85mm lenses but most were from the 50mm). Just some slight tweaks in lightroom really, nothing fancy. This is straight from the memory card:dazvr said:

Haha - sorry for spoiling your LaFerrari photo - that's me! I convoyed with this car and the 458 down the M4. I got a bit excited.some pics here https://www.flickr.com/photos/98104797@N03/sets/72...
My first SS for a while, but one of the best - Sunshine always helps!!
Great food and Hot Choccy, well above usual fair/show fare - shame about the wait.
I think I saw the pitstop challenge was down from 43s to 29s by the time we left around 1130 ish - did it get much quicker?
Some great varied machinery there today, some of my standouts from here:
Not seen such a mint Cossie for ages:
First time I've seen one in the flesh, always seemed to have a big crowd:
My elise, dwarfed!
Awesome Astons:
Didn't know they ever did convertible Nobles?
Great example of PH diversity:

I don't think they did. Pretty sure it was a (very well done) kit car based off the MG TF.
Ah ha, that would explain a lot thenandyjb said:

Another great Sunday Service, well done to the organizers and thanks for the freebies A great collection of cars but the LaFerrari was the star of the show and hats off to the owner, allowing people to get up close to it. Agree with the comments regarding the time queuing for food but it was worth it in the end.
Well worth the trip. Brought coffee and croisants with us so no queueing! Stopped at the Ace on the way home for lunch.
Much enthusiasm for the Bentley as usual - thanks for all your kind comments and encouragement. Keep watching the build thread for further developments.
Thank you PH too for organising.
