That was my first meet there too. Nice little meet with some interesting cars.

Seemed a proper group of enthusiasts too which is always good.

Thanks to the organiser(s).

Pictures should be easily viewable without having to sign up. Just tried after logging out and works fine for me. smile

Thanks to all that came along...So many fantastic cars to admire, the variation was spectacular & it really made it to be one of the most eclectic meets to date.

With the entrance system in place we now no longer receive random cars that aren't on the list...It has brought about a new trend though, folks signing up 1-7 days before the event (as the word about the meet spreads), no previous posting history, in some cases their 1st post is to add their name to the list...The obvious give aways are the "exits" from the venue.

Remember guys as you enter/leave the aerodrome you ARE seen on CCTV doing EVERYTHING that you do when you leave...I've seen the footage. So misbehave at your own risk & realise any "funny business" on exit, you're doing it on the doorstep of a police dog unit based at the aerodrome, & Surrey polices helicopter base yes It is entirely the Aerodrome managements prerogative & judgement if they pass on the footage to the Police.

The regulars know the score with regards to the meet but this message is to the new folk who've recently attended, as much as we love the cars can I ask you behave for everyones elses benefit & more importantly the events future

Back to you all shortly with next months meet date...I'm hoping I can get us air side. THIS will only happen if they're comfortable with our behaviour as "airside" is where all the good stuff is kept tucked away from us currently

Another small bit advice about the exits.... when leaving the aerodrome and turning left there have been quite a few acidents on those corners recently where diesel has been spilt by the lorries that use those lanes.

Needless to say that a spirted exit + diesel could end pretty badly, so please be careful.

I was watchign the exits and without trying to stir things up if one individual was to be banned from this it would be unfair.

Everyone bar very very few were doing it but it was hardly anything other than a quick burst of acceleration which I highyl doubt the police could do much about anyway.

Their were people at the exit filming on their phones trying to get footage of spirited exits. Its a shame a few people may end up spoiling it for others if the meet stops. I just go to chat to others, look at the cars and have a bite to eat. Don't need to give it the beans when I leave what's the point.

Look forward to the next meet.

Thanks
Simon.

Although the police might take a dim view of the manner of driving, I suspect the reality for Umair as organiser is that more of an issue is that he's reliant on the continued goodwill of the Aerodrome management, and hence also the continuing goodwill of other Aerodrome users including the police, to be allowed to continue using it as a venue.

Looking forward to next month biggrin
