Just removed myself from the list as the weather looks a bit ominous and dont fancy spending the whole day out in the rain.

I've just noticed the email says "Please aim to get to Wilton House for 9am". Given that I'm still sat at my dining table in my jim jams and Wilton House is a good hour away, that looks optimistic.

Does anyone know if we can still access PH parking after 9am?

I will be bringing the 4x4 Alfa as I predict the PH car park will be a tad slippery! Grass + sloped ground + heavy rain sounds like the precursor to a typical British 4-hour delay, mudbath, tractors removing cars event

No probs if you get there late with parking.

Excellent! Now if the rain would just hurry up and sod off somewhere North, we can be on our way.

Rally Stage, nice idea but no great viewing spots, it all felt quite distant...

Wilton Classic & Supercar 2014 by Harry_S, on Flickr

The main event, missing a few cars people were hoping for (P1, LaFerrari, 918, Zonda, Koenigsegg) and didn't feel quite as eclectic as previous years (how many 12Cs?!), but still brilliant...

All in all, very enjoyable. Brilliant range of diverse eateries far from the norm found at events, well laid out event in the main, and the Park and Ride was superb (particularly as hard standing!)

My first time today and really enjoyed it despite the weather. My ears are still rining from being a little too close to both the Aston and the Viper during the sound off!

The park & ride service was good too although a few guys that followed me in found it a little too bump.

You know you've had a treat when you're bored of 12Cs, 360s and 458s!

My 1st time, glad we went as the weather was much better than expected and the PH parking was great smile

We screwed up with the parade and stood by the house, right opposite where they turned to go into their paddocks, DOH - we didn't hear any of them revving and we didn't see the interesting stuff as it never came as far as us! Lesson learned for next year smile Loads of 458's and 12C's though!

Static displays were great, saw three F40's! The 288GTO was a special treat as were the several 250's, 330's etc smile

Highlight of the day was meeting Richard Noble at the Bloodhound display, albeit only briefly sadly. Did spend quite some time chatting to his colleague about the project, very informative and interesting and we'll be spending a tenner to get our lads name on the Bloodhound.

Very impressed with the whole day from arriving at 8.45aqm to leaving at 3.45pm - hardly any queues anywhere - FoS take some tips!

Wicked day. Lots of nice metal to look at and sat in quite a few cars (M3, M4, i8, F-type, GTR, 370z, Cayman, Audi S1, VXR8, amongst others) which was nice.

Some great displays with the three generations of Ferrari GTO parked together, as well as the F1 and P1, and M1 and i8.

Spoke to couple of people on the stands about their cars and others on display which was fun, rather than being pushed into picking up a leaflet or something as usually happens.

Agreed with the above about the rally stage, seemed a bit distant but was nice all the same.

My only gripe was with one of the blokes from Jaguar locking up the F-types after a few young people had sat in them, citing that pushing buttons will drain the batteries. No other stand had this issue and the buttons didn't do anything with the ignition off anyway.

So glad I made it there, pouring rain, sideways Corvette but serious hidden gem of a car show! So much variety and the pistonheads car park was worth going to on it's own! Lucjy with the weather in the end as the sun came out as the supercars arrived

What a good day. Early start but very glad I made the effort. Even the sun came out in the afternoon.

Thanks must go to the PH team for organising the parking so well and for laying on the catering too. Thanks guys for all your efforts, it's appreciated!

Another great day out at Wilton, always a good day and the weather did nothing to dissuade us, well ok, that's not strictly true, we left the XK tucked up in the garage and came in the Jeep, thinking mud, slipery grass etc etc but none of it, we definitely didn't need a 4x4 but as I have never seen Wilton in rain like we had first thing we went cautious.
The kids loved the parade as usual although there were quite a few large gaps this year and not the usual smooth flow, they both enjoyed the mini Land Rovers and Segways, it just goes to show what a good variety of interests are catered for.
Nice one again.

Great day at Wilton House as usual. It seems every year they are adding and changing things to keep it fresh, so a big thanks to "team will", "Jaykaybi" and everyone else that has made this event what it is.
