Wilton Classic Supercar with Castrol Edge

Private parking for PHers, rally cars confirmed and one or two tasty classics as well...

It's hard to believe how soon this great event has come round again, If Sunday August 10 isn't already in your diary then make some space for Wilton Classic Supercar 2014.

For those that haven't been, the best way to describe Wilton is as a family garden party surrounded by some of the most beautiful and emotive cars in the world. A small selection of the cars planning to attend is below but please bear in mind this could be subject to change.

  • Ferrari 250 GT California LWB
  • Ferrari 290 MM
  • Ferrari 250 GT Lusso
  • Ferrari F40 LM
  • Amilcar CGS Supercharged
  • BMW 328 Frazer Nash Roadster
  • Porsche 911 RS 2.7 Lightweight
  • Lancia B24 Spyder America
  • Bugatti Type 46 'Super Profile'
  • Lamborghini Miura P400 (Twiggy's car)
  • Bristol 400 bodied by Pininfarina
  • Maserati A6GCS Convertible

We're sure you'll agree there's pretty much something for everyone to gawp at.

The theme for this year is 'Head to Head' where classic icons will meet their modern day counterparts, for example, the Mercedes 300SL Gullwing and the SLS, Lamborghini Miura and the Huracan.

There will be a classic car paddock sponsored by EFG and also be a hypercar area. Bonhams will also be there showing a few very special cars that are due to be auctioned later this summer.

As ever there will be the Supercar Parade with around 200 cars taking part.

Furthermore, don't forget about the rally stage sponsored by Castrol Edge with iconic Group B rally cars including the Metro 6R4 performing high speed runs along the valley floor. Race2Recovery will also be running its Dakar Bowler Wildcat in between the Group B runs. To top this off rally star Elfyn Evans will also be taking to the track in his Castrol Ford Fiesta R200 to show what the modern rally cars are capable of. For a taster of the Group B action, have a watch of the video here.

We have a dedicated parking area for PHers which you can sign up to by clicking here. To ensure everything can be organised in time for the event, we will be closing entry to the calendar on Monday July 21 so make sure you put your name down ASAP to guarantee parking with us

For more information on the event click here. Tickets are on sale now and adult passes have been discounted by £3 to £15. Buy your tickets here.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Has something happened to the calendar? I'm only getting 5 names listed!

There were more than 400 names on that list.

Interestingly the drop-down menu on PH.com is showing 'Wilton Classic & Supercar 8th October' and linking to that calendar entry :s

Sorry about the issue with the calendar, it's all sorted now and duplicate entries have been deleted thumbup

The date thing with it is something to do with the American format, we're working on that side of things too.
