We raised £1080 for gate 11, despite a high rate of attrition on the cars!

I've found this set of pics on Facebook (public) - https://www.facebook.com/mark.woodhouse.125/media_...
And this set from the GTROC - http://www.lancerregister.com/showthread.php?threa...

There was also this guy who I spoke to, but no galleries from the day have appeared on his site yet. - http://onesnap.co.uk/oneSnap/Welcome.html
Thanks very much, I'll keep an eye out on those biggrin

Had an absolute blast on the R4H gate in the RS6 but ended up helping the Marshalls at the Midlands Car club (I think) at Gate 11 after I retired with a split boost hose. Their gate had a lot of retirements so I ended up getting my friend in the other RS6 to help out on their gate as well, mainly so I could drool over the Diablo they had TBH!

I'm hoping for some good pics of all the cars as there was hundreds of photog's around all day!

Great day, I was loading/unloading on Gate 11 - thanks to all those that drove.

Hopefully next year I'll be back in something suitable - as quick as mine is, I doubt people are excited by diesel!

Can't remember who it was, but a marshall in a PH shirt came over to my Father and I during the afternoon asking if we could spare some cars from our stand (R4H/Sporting Bears) - not long after though they seemed to be pretty full again biggrin

Looking forward to hopefully seeing some pics of the Boxster in action - The reactions of the public made all worth while going - Especially when we told them how fast we were going, and the kids loved getting to start and rev up the car biggrin

Ah, that was you?! I was drooling a fair bit too when I saw it, my Dream Lambo - I wish I was able to get a ride in that biggrin

IIRC you did quite a few rides, how did it hold up?

I did a few laps but didn't want to push my luck due to her advancing years. She held up really well. I just really wanted to get a feel what she was really like when pushed and I was very suprised how well she went and handled. My only worry was a little steam comming from the engine bay but upon investigation was only a little escaped coolant from the expansion tank escape hose - big relief!

It was a great event, I'd never heard of it before until a mate told me about it. The silly thing is I only live 6 miles from Bruntingthorpe! biggrin

Nice set of photos, showing the range of activities at the event.

Do you have any more of the rally cars in the aircraft boneyard?
In particular, of my Manta, but others would be of interest too.

Cheers
