The only tickets left are paddock\enclosure only - is it worth buying them i.e. will we see much racing? Alternatively does anyone have two spare tickets they no longer need?
Cheers
I personally wouldn't even use the grandstand tickets if I did have them, last time I went(3 or 4 years ago), I went to other spots around the track and looked at the beautiful metal parked around it at the same time, I had a grandstand ticket, sat there for 15 mins, then moved on.Cheers
Paddock ticket is a must though!
I’ll be leaving with some pals for our first Trip to Angouleme.
We’ll be travelling across from Plymouth to Roscoff and taking two days for the drive down, stopping off near Nantes for a night with a trip to the motor museum here http://www.manoir-automobile.fr/home/ Just to the south west of Rennes. On the way back we’ll also be stopping off (as yet undecided where) on the way back to the ferry.
Has anyone done much driving in this part of France? Any advice one which roads to take, which to avoid, and places along the route which might be of interest would be greatly appreciated.
Also does anyone know if is it possible to arrange spaces (display or otherwise) in the town centre? not too keen on leaving my car somewhere too quiet, would rather it was in a public place.
Hope to see some of you there.
Simon

I've been meaning to take in that museum for a while but not managed it yet - a report would be interesting if you can?
I'd suggest using a Michelin map/atlas using RN's and pick fairly small towns to stop at for coffee/ lunch as you should be able to park where you can see your cars.
The Logis website is useful for finding hotels that are reasonably priced.
I can't help with parking as this will be my first visit - our hotel has parking included for the duration so I haven't looked into other parking.
Looking forward to this and the car in in today for service/MoT and a bit of tlc before the trip.

Sunday is the racing day of the weekend. You should get good parking in the Champs de Mars. It's secure and looked after on the day. They like to let in interesting machines to park.
Get there early though.
Saturday has a scenic rally around the Charente countryside.
Saturday afternoon and evening there are cars on display in the town centre and plenty going on in the bars and restaurants with live music etc.
You may be able to buy your pit lane pass on Saturday evening if wanted.
I imagine security will be much tighter than previous years though.
There is a website to browse with most info in English.

Champs de Mars car park. What qualifies as an interesting car? Classics only or are modern ones allowed in?Get there early though.
