reckon you want to think about turning those CR500's round in those conditions eekyikes
Yep well spotted, I wondered when some one would finally notice!

I did change them from my zzrs this morning at 6am, so that's my excuse, and I managed to get the rears the right way around too!

In actual fact, with the recent camber and castor change they seemed to,have lots of grip, and loads more than the zzrs in that torrential rain today too!

They will be swapped over this week though!

A big thank you to the PH team for laying on this SS. Free entry to the museum plus a free coffee/tea and a lovely bacon roll and lots of lovely motors - Wow! A great morning and who cares about the weather - owners of CGT, Aventador, 650S etc etc clearly don't which was great to see smile

Thanks guys.

Help yourself Eddy. A mate of mine, Nick Shaw, mentioned you used to be a Minifinity regular after spotting your car on my Instagram feed.

Thanks! Small world! Yeah I had a clubman that had a bit of a silly stereo install in it.

Indeed. I miss mine but I know who sill owns it so I know it's still in good hands. Mine was a 90 Cooper with a carbon flip front, buckets etc. Happy days.

Really Enjoyed this one. Shame about the rain but attest it stopped at times.

A great mix of cars as always

Fantastic event, many thanks to PH for arranging and the people at Gaydon for their great hospitality.

Very much enjoyed talking to Dan Trent about the McLaren and the Targa.

Apologies to anybody offended by the slightly loud exit of the CLS smile

The Sunday Service sign up system needs to change. Late last night I was well into the 400's and a a mate of mine was a few places ahead of me but still nowhere near the magical 300.

NOW, I am at 317 and my mate is at 299 (he was at 302 about ten minutes ago...)

What this means is that people who genuinely wanted to attend have been denied places by people selfishly hanging onto a place only to release it at the last minute. What it also means is that there are going to be people in the 300 who probably thought they had no chance of getting in and thus didn't attend...
Hi Ross,

We totally agree and it is something we're working on, unfortunately other things on the site take priority but it's definitely going to be worked on.

In the meantime PHers really do need to think before putting their name down, don't reserve a space if you might be able to go and unless you are 100% certain you're going to be there, please don't put your name down. It's not fair to your fellow petrolheads.

Put it this way I was 100% sure I was going. Then 2 personal events happen in very short succession .

It's a fact of life things happen

Trust me I would have gone if I could have.

It does annoy me when some bleat on about this ( ok some do take the piss)

Ok I was annoyed by various comments but I understand where you are coming from.

My suggestion would be pay £5 to be on this list

Drop out loose your money

And if you get in on the reserve list you pay £5

Focuses the mind a little a nice sum of money to split with the hosts and PH nominated charity

Some Sunday Service venues, like Gaydon, are also open to the public so should you not make the top 300 there would be nothing to stop you turning up, parking with "Joe public" and taking a look around?

I got on the list early and was well within the 300 this time, had my Smiley on the dash but was not checked off against a list and got my free admission band and breakfast voucher by just saying "I'm with Piston Heads".

Possibly with the poor weather they did not expect to exceed the 300?

Thanks, I'll pass that onto the ol'man, she's his XJR-S. We we're commenting to say it was nice/rare to see two XJR's such as yours and another black one.
It was nice to see another couple of TWR cars there. Even many Jaguar specific shows don't have any, let alone three. I was quite chuffed when I saw the space next to your Dad's car was open for me to park in!

Also, I don't want anyone to think I was saying that I hadn't enjoyed myself on my previous post. We had a great time and I'd like to thank everyone involved for a brilliant morning. Loved everything there from the XE and SNAFU ( smile ) Land Rover to the two Vortex cars and watching the RR Sport traversing the off road course behind the car park. I just wish the guy on the gate had been a little more switched on!

Noticed your name on the list and presume that was your green S3 rather than going in the Vixen, but didn't get to see you in person.

I didn't have the PH round disk in my window as no printer at hand, when I arrived at the gate I wasn't asked my login name. Just said good morning and was told go park on the right (I did have a box of Krispy Kreme in the window as suggested by Shaw Tarse) still not sure being a first timer at this event if that's a code smile They were going to be a gift but as no one on the gate mentioned them or said anything I shared them with my co pilot lick

A shoutout here to the kind person who left a "Why Not join Now?" XKEC recruitment sticker on my Silver Jaguar XK Coupe at Gaydon yesterday.

Erm - thanks, but I'm already an XKEC club member.........

If you are going to the M-B World SS next Sunday then please e-mail me off-thread and we can arrange to meet. I'll be there.

Thanks to the PH team and Gaydon folk for a great event. Great to see the range of Jags on display. Pity about the weather but the coffee was warm and the bacon rolls tasty ( oh and free). I'm assuming names weren't checked on the basis of the weather was so poor, so attendance was expected to be low!. That said it seemed a reasonable turnout to me.
Thanks Again

Steve
