If you are a member of a car club you could ask the events organiser ( or you could act on the clubs behalf if they'll let you and you're prepared to manage it through) to apply for some tickets.
This year they had 7 of each chosen car marque on display.
So you get your pitch, entry and car on display. Still have to pay but a reduced rate and may be worth a go if you can't get tickets any other way - or would like to do a club thing. That's how I got to go this year. Be gutted if we can't do it again.
