The Lancashire Automobile Club is hosting An Evening with Colin Bennett at 8pm on Thursday 27th November at Whalley Golf Club.
Our Guest Speaker, Colin Bennett, founder of CGA Race Engineering – Historic Race Car Preparation and Restoration, has been in the motorsport business for over 40 years; including working with Colin Chapman and Gold Leaf Team Lotus in the 1960s and 70s.
Since then Colin's business has been involved in motor racing at many levels including, amongst others, Indianapolis 500, F3000 and Le Mans. In recent years his team’s skill and experience has turned to historic racing car preparation with great success; restoring the ex-Michael Schumacher Benetton 191, preparing FIA Historic Formula One cars such as the ex-Ronnie Peterson March 761 and Lotus 72 alongside Group C Racing Nissans, Historic F2 cars and racing cars with significant histories and value. His team has won many races and Championships including the 2010 European Historic Formula 2 Championship and placing second in the Group C Racing Series in 2011.
Tickets for this event are £13 and include our traditional potato pie supper.
