Here's a few shots from the last Sunday Scramble at Bicester Heritage in October. It's a fantastic event and certainly worth visiting, the only rule is that you must turn up in/on something interesting, whether it has wings or wheels! The site is the UK's most complete WW2 Bomber Station, complete with Technical Site and airfield.

It is a great site, but I'm guessing my MR2 wouldn't be classed as "interesting".

There was all sorts there in October, so I'd say the MR2 was welcome!

From that video it looks like quite a large site. Am I right in saying the air-side is entirely fenced off? I was down there a couple of weeks ago in my glider and I couldn't figure out how to get through to the heritage site. If it's decent weather I'll try to pop along for a look in the Aston.

would the parking for the cars be away from airside, as it says dogs on short leads allowed but not airside, just want to check as desperate for a good run out

I agree it is hard to work out from the way it's written. Probably best just not to bring a dog. Not much fun for them anyway as they won't be able to run about and for example you won't be able to view the vintage aircraft on display.

He's only a chihuahua so not too fussed if he can't run off the lead, just gets quite excited when the cover comes off and the v8 starts up, hates to be left behind, the venue looks nice and local as well

I'm not surprised, it's quite a tight complex and with an active airfield I guess there's no room to 'spread'...

I registered earlier in the week but have had no confirmation of acceptance. Is that correct?
I don't really want to travel there and be turned away if I haven't been accepted .
Has anyone else received a response or can you see an attendance list anywhere?

Rich B did you get a confirm of your place without further follow up or did you email them to check you had been accepted? I registered but now don't know whether I'm in or not as there is no list and I've not had any e mail either way.
Do you need to have e mail confirm that the registration was successful? Thanks Dave
