Hi
Planning to go and follow the World Endurance Champioships in Spring and Summer this year.
Looking for recommendations on accommodation, camping, event insider information.
This is my first trip to Spa, LeMans, and Nurburgring, so can you not assume my knowledge about the events etc.
I am presently going in my boxster, and camping, on my own, so any advice from single travellers most welcome.
Cheers Mark

I went to Spa for the 24hrs in July this year on my own. Stayed at Camping l'eau rouge
http://en.eaurouge.nl/

It was a nice site, they had no problems with me being on my own, and really helpful friendly owners, who were very accommodating to my complete lack of french or dutch language skills.
its 2 miles or so up to stavlot (Paul Frere) corner, where there is an entrance to the track. You can walk, or if your lazy like me, drive.

Nurburgring for the 24hours i stayed at the camping am nurburgring, but that was with a mate. That was a good site, very busy and VERY loud, but all friendly and nice. its very close to the track, so no more than 5/10 mins walk to the track regardless of were you stay.

Le mans, id be very interested to see the replies, as im doing that for the first time this year, and depending on how useless my freinds are, theres always a chance im going on my own ha.

Don't hang around too long to book your accomodation for Nurburgring, I have found that most of the accomodation near there is already booked for the WEC weekend. The nearest decent place I could find was in Ulmen about 12 miles away.

Whenever I've visited Spa, I've stayed in Liege and driven the last few miles on race morning.

That probably wouldn't work with F1, but even in the heyday of Group C, you didn't get horrible queues and could park close to the circuit.
