Great evening! Good to meet Nick ( DasChin ) and Phil Octave, plus brief chat with PeteA. Great banter and friendly atmosphere. Shame the venue is moving, as its a 5 mile drive for me.
PeteA, are you interested in bringing your GT3 along to this http://www.motorsportatthepalace.co.uk/ ?
I'm organising the Posrche static display. Free entry for show cars and occupants. The sprint entry is looking good, and jus down the road for you. Bring your son along he'll love it!

shame that its moving as was back to a nice atmosphere at the GH. Also by any chance did anyone get any pictures of my car ? ( silver puma ). I know its not a fancy as some cars but there are some very talented photographers there to.

WTF was a burger van doing serving food into a pub car park ?
Never seen that in my entire life.
Most pub guv'nors would have had a quiet word.
Or put a lot rag onto his petrol cap.

The Fairmile in Cobham is a good shout for an alternative venue.

Exit wise, and drive bys, well boys will be boys, especially with toys.
All part n parcel of having a quick car with a load of boys watching
It's part history and been happening no doubt even on horses years ago, as it has happened in planes in WW2 , in the eighties, check out Top Gun, and will happen forever

You'll never stop it.
And any meet it doesn't happen at is beige.

LOL.

yes agree with that having a nice car ,performance car good too give it the beans etc but a suppose its the owners of the car parks or people living nearby probably don't think like us petrol heads and get the hump about it

Personally I don't think it was anything to do with the exits, as in previous meets at the GH there have been a fair few more 'enthusiastic'exits. Although the burgur van could play a part - if no one is eating in the restaurant and only has the odd drink they don't benefit much from it

We had a meal in there, think there was only 2 other tables occupied

+1 - been there for Audi meets in the past and the car park round the back is spacious and it's pretty rural so limited neighbours to have a whinge!

I suspect Umair will already have ideas on where next, so suggestions may be jumping the gun a bit

Thanks for sorting the evening, shame it's not going back to the GH (all seemed a lot more restrained than prior meets there though?)

The woodman is a great shout but I'm sure that it's all in hand

It's a real shame to be honest, the summer months at the grasshopper meets over the past years have been great! A pint and a nosey around some top motors is always nice. Many clubs have meets here and believe me pistonhead meets are very well behaved ones compared to a lot of others. If the reason it is over is because of the heavy foot exits then that is ridiculous! This happens at all meets, blokes and quick cars, it's always going to happen although I must say the ones that kept flying by was a bit much. As I say, it's a real shame and just odd but hey hoe , on to the new location smile
