Yer defiantly, great little place and well run too. I may be mistaken but if you turn left as you get to the car park bit (up the little hill) there is a field for overflow parking but I could be wrong. Still, should be able to get 40+ cars in there with some creative thinking and someone managing the parking. I smell a meet on the horizon!
Well volunteered!

lets wait for the weather to warm up a bit, be a shame to leave the bike for somewhere so local!
Oilcan is a good shout if tough to find the first time... i drove straight past first time loser

I'd be up for it!

That isn't really in the North.

It's a long drive to the Midlands for an evening meet. More doable at weekends, but then there is more competition for things being on. Especially in the summer.

I don't really struggle to find car stuff to do around East Yorkshire (Hull)

East Coast Run is always a good turn out, same with the Beverley Midsummer Gathering in June ... this one gets bigger each year

VW Festival at Harewood house is a great event (if you like VW's)

Drag racing at York Raceway (Melbourne)

Ten of the Best at Elvington (plus trackdays there too)

Bike & car meets at Sherburn-in-Elmet (can't remember the pub name)

Not far to go to Blyton (Lincolnshire) for rallycross & trackdays

Croft (north yorkshire) for BTCC

Bit further away, but worth the trip is Newark Autojumble ... always a good turn out of classic's there

NHUN 'nothing happens up north' meet?

Could maybe squeeze one in before cars get tucked away?

Make your own events, postem here, people will come smile

Start off with something like a pub meet, take it from there.

You better not do it on a Football day because most of you norfners seem to like footie, or on a rugby league day.

You could do a run to a motor museum somewhere. Give them a call in advance let them know what you are thinking, most places welcome groups and will work with you smile

Indeed Mark! I'm going to try take the reins and get something up together. If you fancy rumbling up to the peak district and shaking some cottage foundations feel free to join :-)

On a serious note, if there was to be a hoon somewhere op norf and we had plenty of notice Im sure one or two of us might be up for a run, (would have to combine it with a stay over in a B&B type thing) Probably better to do something Next season But I would be up for something like that smile

One man's Up North is my Down South but I can't say I am short of things to do in N Yorkshire. Let's see- Croft(racing (and much more than BTCC) rally X and rallying ) , Harewood , Drag racing at Melbourne ,and a bit further afield Barbon Hillclimb, Cadwell and Donington (the first two involving terrific early morning drives ) . In winter lots of club level rallying and in summer quite a few of those cars in the park type events(they don't interest me but some people do enjoy them ). Add in N Yorkshire's 6000 miles of mainly lightly trafficked roads and why the hell would I want to live in Surrey ?

The Lakeland Car Museum is worth a visit and some great roads in the vicinity as well for a nice run. At their scenic best now, in late autumn, but watch out for wet leaves.

Cars and Coffee Liverpool, once a month. Preston Sports and Super car Meet, once a month. Mitton Hall Super car Sunday, once a month through the summer. A fair bit happens in the North West.

Pleased to hear it smile

Perhaps the issue is not so much that there is nothing happening, but more to do with Events not being advertised on PH?
