Don't know for sure but I suspect it was for noise. You must have heard it?
I was quite relieved my F430 didn't get pulled and it has a standard exhaust!
What an epic day. I only held my own in the 10:10 session due to the car I was in. You guys are quick! I need to buy some skills.
I was behind your F430 most of the session in the GT3, and the DBS was behind me. We had a good run the 3 of us I thought.I was quite relieved my F430 didn't get pulled and it has a standard exhaust!

Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Well that was lots of fun. Hopefully didn't hold up anyone too much on the straights in my little ol' MX5 in the 9:35 session. It did hold its own through the bends though ;-)
Dude - you and the other MX5 were perfect as far as I was concerned. I was actually trying to get past you so quickly on the straight so that there was a good gap for the corner so that I didn't slow you down! I'm not sure which one of you it was but I took one of the corners so badly after the straight and you gained on me by the exit! I saw it as my duty to hammer out of the corner though MrTurner said:

This was my session. You sir are a prat! Please learn to respect track day rules in future, they are there for the safety of everyone.
I might make a few mistakes at times, but you can see in my car there is an MX5 who is very unlikely to have the straight line speed that I have, but still I waited for the straight and gave a huge amount of room. Then you come flying past. You did not wait for any indication from me, I moved onto the right to make sure the mx5 was clear and set myself for the next corner. Then I stayed right as you looked dangerous, not fast.
There are also countless times where you also brake late into the next set of corners and stuff it inside other cars on their racing line. I can't believe you didn't get black flagged. I hope you don't think your driving is heroic, it is dangerous to other users of the track. We were all there to enjoy it and if you believed you were more capable than everyone else on track, you should have gone into an intermediate session. Your driving ability isn't at question, but your respect of everyone else using the track is.
On a side note, anyone know why the 360 was black flagged? I was behind it and thought it was me for a lap!

Another 09:35 driver here - with the red Alpina touring.
Really enjoyed my first track time, thanks to all, especially the white C63 who I spent most of the time with. I had an instructor and would thoroughly recommend it again.
I can't believe I used 1/2 a tank of diesel and I really must do something about the brakes........
Any photos of my car would be much appreciated.
See you next time, I off to the classifieds.........

Best one I have I'm afraid. I was in the green MX5, only ever saw you briefly!
O
Great photographs and a couple of lovely shots of my old M5 which I have downloaded thank you. I would certainly like your Facebook page if I was signed up, but unfortunately I never have!
I really enjoyed the morning, some amazing cars on show and watching the track driving added another dimension to the usual SS wandering.

Here is my full session filmed from my focus ST.
It is the 10.10am session. Would just like to say all drivers drove really well and never once did I feel in danger by stupidity from the others in the session. Shame about the two red flags but to be honest I the car needed a cool down!!!

This is awesome mate. It's a good 3 minutes of my car. Almost completely forgot about that sudden bottleneck at Brooklands. I was completely outbraked by the guy in front and had to move over to the left to find some space. I indicated and it Seemed like you worked out what I was doing though!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bE6q8mkQSN8

On a side note, anyone know why the 360 was black flagged? I was behind it and thought it was me for a lap!
Secondly ON A SERIOUS NOTE no not "horrific" but I agree with some of the points. The thing with passing the Integra on the right was that it was basically touching the kerb on the left whilst doing what looks like 25mph. If they'd been paying attention in the briefing perhaps they'd know that if they're that nervous they should be a bit further right to let faster cars through? Then again, second lap, completely blind corner, they can't have known. I'd say passing it and letting it get on with whatever it was doing was a lot safer than causing a rolling road-block of two cars or slamming the brakes on. But then again, novice session, he shouldn't have even been there.
Yes, some of the overtakes were a bit...err.. corner-y, and perhaps knowing he was in the novice session he could have given people a liiiiitle more space (Porsche). Or taken it on the chin, admitted he was late to the party and not joined in. It kind of defeats the point of a novice session if there's a guy tearing round at almost literally twice the pace. I can see why some of the overtakes happened where they did, there were some (rightly) very slow cars out on track and a fairly quick and slightly frustrated M3 driver. Maybe think about how much you want to go on track vs whether you should. It's the same reason they don't let the adults out with the kiddy karts, the closing speeds are too high and someone might get hurt.
