OK, a little bit of an update - we are now also listed with DriveAddiction.com which carries listings of car events around the UK and we are now listed alongside some very big regular events :-)

I have been in touch with Harwoods Jaguar, and our other sponsors and am hoping that there will be enough welcome packs for everyone, rather than per car, which didn't quite work for everyone at the last meet..

the twitter feed is already starting to pick up followers too, which is great :-)

I am working on the info sheets that you will get in your welcome packs currently..

I am hoping to have dashboard sheets (so we know whose car is who's - yes I know awful grammar lol), info on the next meet (which will be in December), the itinerary, breakfast menu options/pricing sheets, in addition to the goodies and info from our kind sponsors, and of course your prize draw entry ticket..

The event and the prize draw are both free, your only costs on the day being your unlimited breakfast, and the parking..

Meanwhile our Twitter feed is starting to take off - we have a Twitter account of @JFBrightonMeets and for the may event news we are using the hashtag #MayJagMeet - please feel free to follow our account, and keep up to the minute with the event and our preparations, news and info.

08:15 Meet at Pease Pottage Service Station at the base of the M23.

I'm gonna be a maybe for the convoy now, we'd have to leave home around 06:45 to make that, so might need to convince the mrs. first why it's a good thing we have to get up at 06:00 on a sunday...

It will be good to see you there on the day, and it is just before the convoy itself that we will be distributing the Welcome Packs..

If you can't make it for the convoy let me know & I will try to hold a pack back for you OK?

I am very local to the starting point for the convoy but even for me it's going to be 50/50 as to if the family chooses to wake up and come along on the day :-)

The Twitter feed #MayJagMeet (@JFBrightonMeets) is picking up, and if you have Twitter you can keep up with things as the day approaches, if that is any easier for you.

Currently we have three main sponsors supplying the welcome pack goodies, hopefully two brand new showroom XE's in attendance, a free prize draw for Jaguar orientated goodies, photo shoots, unlimited breakfasts from £2.99 per person, Harwoods and The Automatic Gearbox Centre in attendance to answer any questions PLUS so far we have 49 vehicles, with a Jaguar Mk2 being the oldest so far, coming along, and approx 75 people... it is set to be a really good day for us, and bigger than the last two events!

The long range weather forecast is still for warm sunny weather, we currently have 80 people and 52 cars signed up for the day!

The forum thread, across the Master thread and it's mirrors has had over 12,500 views.

The Twitter feed @JFBrightonMeets has 6 followers, but our hashtag #MayJagMeet seems to have quite a few people monitoring it.

We still have five weeks to go, but already are heading for a big, and fantastic day with lots of cars, people, cheap unlimited breakfasts, banner signing, photo shoots, free prize draw, and more.... all at the seaside with the proms behind us, the sea rolling in in front of us, and there in the same month as the MG, Mini, and Classic Car meets!!

OK here's a quick summary for today:

We have 52 cars, 78 people so far attending,
Free Welcome Packs & goodies,
Breakfasts from 99p children/£2.99 adults,
Parking £10 for four hours,
Free prize draw for SNG Barratt goodies,
Hopefully a pay per ticket prize draw for Jaguar UK goodies with all takings going to charity,
The new XE's in attendance,
Test drive bookings being taken,
The Automatic Gearbox Centre & Harwoods Jaguar to hand to answer all your questions,
Photo shoots,
and more..

I am currently (slowly) sorting the information packs that will go in the Welcome Packs, chasing and trying to get us newspaper coverage (yes I have already tried the presenters from Top Gear & The Classic Car Show to no avail), trying to get our Twitter profile fully active (@JFBrightonMeets #MayJagMeet) and am still on the hunt for any other potential sponsors for our event..

As always I will let you know where I manage to get a degree of success :-)

The next Bi-Annual Brighton Convoy & Meet will be happening on 24th May 2015 - Less than THREE weeks away now! This meet will be our fourth one, and we will have been running this event for two years now!

This Spring/Summer event is Jaguar exclusive, but if you have a car of another marque don't worry - the Winter event will again be open to all marques with a warm Jaguar welcome for everyone.

For those who don't know, the event comprises of two components - an initial meet at Pease Pottage Services with Welcome packs and goodie bags handed out, and a convoy at a steady 65mph down to the main meet and event in Madiera Drive, Brighton. The distance is approx 24 miles on major roads which should ensure all attendees can manage it without issue.

At the main meet in Brighton we have breakfasts (from £2.99), photo shoots, socialising, industry attendees there to answer all those questions you have never managed to get answered, a FREE prize draw for some SNG Barratt goodies, and more - and all with the backdrop of the Victorian promenades, and everything a family could possibly want on a day out with the Pier, the beaches, the sea gently rolling in, the Proms, and a huge local shopping centre.

This year we are sandwiched in the middle of a month of MG, Mini, and Classic Car Meet days so I am sure our meet will raise a lot of interest... esp with one or two brand new showroom XE's there, literally *just* delivered to Harwoods Brighton, hopefully in attendance on the day!!

We are already listed as an official event with Brighton & Hove, & East Sussex Councils - and I am working on trying to get further advertising and newspaper coverage in place if I can,,

If you would like to attend this convoy and meet ( a guaranteed great day out for you, your family and your car) please put your name forward and I will be happy to add you in.

You can put a post up on this thread if you wish to attend, or you can email me at JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk - either way I will happily add you in.. as usual I need to know if you wish to attend just the main meet, or the meet and the convoy, your car and year, and how many people will likely be travelling in the car..

We even have a NEW live Twitter feed for our event @JFBrightonMeets #MayJagMeet - why not follow our updates, news and info as we go there?

The itinerary, parking, & breakfast costs are all listed in this thread, so there are no surprises for those of us on a budget - but the event itself as such is FREE and will remain so.

Should you be without your car for any reason on the day please contact anyone below listed as having free seats - we look after our own and would still love you to be able to come!

If you haven't been before and would like to check up on some of our recent Bi-Annual Convoy and Meet events please have a look here: UK South East Meet December 2014 in Brighton or UK South East Meet Spring/Summer 2014 in Brighton

The next Bi-Annual Brighton Convoy & Meet will be happening on 24th May 2015 - Just over ONE week away now! This meet will be our fourth one, and we will have been running this event for two years now!

We are already listed as an official event with Brighton & Hove, & East Sussex Councils - and have worked on trying to get further advertising online and newspaper coverage.
