I left early and the exit lane from PH parking wasn't set up properly by then (was pushed into the entry lane rather than the exit lane at which point I was screamed at by the fat woman on the entrance at that time) luckily it wasn't too long only took 5 mins but the queue coming in stretched for miles and miles.
I saw that the queue was long so just went out to the right (instead of the way the traffic came in) - no hold up and straight out. Turned left and the road took me out onto the road along which I came in :-)
We tried to leave the event at 3:20 and didnt get out until almost 5pm. The girl marshall at the entrance of the pistonheads said there was only 1 way out. The same way as we come in. So us and other members lined up along the gravel track and waited, some cars managed to cut across to the public carpark to exit there. But i had no intention going across a bumpy field and destroying my car all because the marshalls weren't doing their job properly. It was a disgrace. A formal complaint has been made waiting for the reply.

Shame really. An excellent day with everything this year being much better organised once inside the grounds spoiled by lousy marshalling getting in and out.
We arrived at 0930 and whereas usually there was someone just inside the gate directing traffic to the public car parks or straight on if you displayed the PH logo, this year there was no one, just signage pointing to the public parks.
OK for us as we'd been for that last few years and knew to go straight on and ignore the signs. We saw a good many 'interesting' cars heading for the public areas and did wonder later whether the low numbers of cars in the PH parking area was down to this.
No excuse for the marshalling as reported in these threads regarding cars leaving - disgusting! Last year it all went smoothly with the cars merging 'zip-fastener' style - no problem.
Hope that the 'powers that be' take note and sort it for next year.

Same timings as us, although we nipped out the other exit eventually.

I've also emailed the organisers with no reply as yet.
