Anyone know about the F1 cars being demonstrated this year? Local paper says an Arrows A18, once driven by Damon Hill. Was hoping for some V10 noise, but on Googling, I see some of the old V10 Arrows have been converted to use Cosworth V8 instead to make them easier to run. That wouldn't be quite so awesome, but still worth watching of course!

Edited to add: just found this YouTube video and would dearly hope its this Arrows A18, but suspect I'm going to be disappointed

Went down this afternoon after the rain. The demo straight didn't seem as busy as last year. Paul Swift in the mk2 Escort was hero of the day getting it very sideways through the chicanes!

We had a quick walk about on friday, highlight is the P1 in the BIC, will be going for a better walk about tomorrow, and a looksie on the demo straight.

We went to see the choas in Southbourne, this evening, talk about not being able to organize a piss up in a brewery! lol

First they set up the barriers wrong, moved a few when the club cars arrived, but didn't foresee the same problem for the supercars, which resulted in stewards pushing the public back in a panic when half the supercars arrived from wrong direction 45mins late, as well as underestimating the space required.

Upon arrival the drivers had no instructions, and stood about. Many of the crowd couldn't get any decent photos, as the cars all ended up boxing each other in, with drivers wondering about randomly, with the Mayor!

Must try harder

I was one of the drivers and I must say I thought we had a great welcome in Southbourne, albeit that it was a bit confused when we arrived. But first time they were doing it. Thanks to everyone that was there and sorry if you didn't get as good a view of the cars as you'd hoped.

Fantastic to have a police escort from Purbeck Hall to Southbourne, waving us through red lights and stopping the other traffic. Like being Royalty for half and hour!

Certainly having had the "treatment" from the Special Escort Group, certainly is amazing being in convoy like that!
