Great day, despite the weather not being the best.

Your Ultima sounded superb and it looked fun bombing up and down the straight.

What a fantastic weekend that was. Better than last year.

Thank you to all the owners on here who brought their cars along - some properly amazing metal.

I got to sit in the P1 too. Something I'll remember for a very, very long time smile

Absolutely this.

Delighted to have been invited (cheers Bart!) and enjoyed every minute of it. A great mix of characters across the spectrum of petrolheads, some very special cars... and the twice daily sprint down the demo straight was the icing on the cake.

Felt genuinely sad it was over as I waved goodbye to the small convoy leaving on the spur road yesterday evening... byebye

Big thanks to all the Events Team for looking after us (especially those guiding us around in the Cathedral of Noise Purbeck Hall who will probably all be deaf for the next week), and top marks to BCC for having the guts to run with it. They're saying there were 200,000 people there on Saturday! eek

Had many of the entrants gone by the Sunday afternoon slots? I saw only 3 Touring cars, and the Le Mans and Supercars I must have been in the wrong spot for because I saw them once set off behind a saftey car, then return a while later again behind a saftey car. Also only about 4 Supercars too frown

Anyway the Monster Trucks and Lotus F1 made up for it, and next year try not to be ill for the Saturday I guess!

Sunday afternoon saw an interruption for the Le mans cars, some tit fell off the wall breaking his arm and an ambulance had to be called down the demo course to attend to him. this put things back a good Half hour. once we le mans cars finished the rally cars went out followed by the F1 cars and then the motorcycles.

Hi and lows for me on the weekend, Saturday afternoon run did not go well, they held the cars for a while at monkey island, I turned the car off only to find the car had a dead battery upon trying to start it again frown

Highlight...Getting a jump start off a 1930 Bentley Blower! Brilliant biggrin

Really good event, though I preferred the road layout from last year; too many chicanes and tighter too, so I barely got into third gear. Good fun though!

The chicanes were certainly a little more challenging from last year, I quite enjoyed it though, nice to be able to give the Ultima a proper wiggle through some of them and shoot some flames.

Sad news to hear that at this point in time the Council are weighing up the cost benefit of the festival running again. Seems they are worried that they were down 200,000 on last years attendance figures.

Perhaps running it the weekend after the bank holiday and on a Friday would explain why!

Dare I ask how fast you managed to get up to in third gear?
Your car sounded superb, one of the best sounding there (the new Merc AMG sounded rather nice as well).
I always thought the F40 sounded as good as F50,but the chap in his F40 seemed to be taking it easy.
