Thinking of taking the family to this tomorrow. Is it worth the trip from Gloucester?

Its a good day out, (even better in nice weather) frown

There is the museum to walk around if the weather is dire, Supercars are outside in the grounds open to weather. there is also the Historic House and grounds to walk around.
There is also a large indoor cafeteria / restaurant, which will be busy tomorrow overlooking the supercar area.

You will see lots of nice stuff but according to the weather there is a storm coming in tonight from the channel heading north and the forecast is predicting wet weather in the morning with light showers through the day!

I was just about to wash and wax the car but now I'm not bothering!

Take some wet weather gear and you should have a good day smile Turn up without it at your peril!

I'm afraid I am out due to sticking front brake calipers, brakes getting way too hot to risk it.
Bit annoying really as I spent a fair amount of time cleaning it today!
Hope the weather holds for you all.

Who came yesterday?

Those that did (like myself) had an awesome time! For those that didn't, the rain lasted about 2 hours & then cleared to be replaced by glorious sunshine for the rest of the day.

Highlights? A healthy turn out of supercars showed up (at least 250 judging by how many I took on my camera) from loads of Lambo's & McLaren's to the rather awesome Dodge Challenger Hellcat, Porsche Carrera GT, Bugatti Veyron & a TVR Sagaris

Having the always fantastic Kevin Harris doing master of ceremony's not just for supercar showdown, but also simply classic the day before & also me & my mates were interviewed by Beaulieu & maybe in their official film too.

But the ultimate highlight? Going over & encouraging the owner of the Dodge Challenger Hellcat to do the biggest burnout Beaulieu has ever seen! Which he duly obliged & got into trouble for it but it was absolutely worth it! I'm a bad influence!

Pics from that day are right here. https://flic.kr/s/aHskiTGbAy

Also some pics from Simply Classic too. https://flic.kr/s/aHskiPirRC

We went - in short had an awesome time! Left the house at 8, got home at 7pm.

Kids absolutely loved it, loads of amazing cars there. They both got to sit in brand new lambos, ferarris etc - still buzzing about it today.

Well worth the £45 entry price - loads to do and see there, thought the museum was great. Very well organised and laid out, would go again. Salon prive next smile

Had a good day but would have been better if I had gone by myself wink

Missus was moaning about the stiff suspension, loud exhaust, race harnesses rubbing her neck, weather, wasps, and anything else she could think of frown My Driving frown

Note to self: Leave her indoors Indoors!

We were there in both cars, had a great drive down with the Lambo group organised by Craig at Lambo Pangbourne, parked in with the through the Years bit, unfortunately the cars in that area were not roped off and whilst most were respectful you always get a few frown

Excellent day out though and hope to make it in future Years thumbup

Thinking of going to Salon Prive - have you been before? If so, what's it like? Been to Goodwood, Wilton and Beaulieu this year so far. Is Salon Prive similar?
