Shiplake Classic & Sportscars - June 20th - South Oxfordshir

I've posted about this show in another thread, but just wanted to update it in a thread of it's own.
Shiplake Classic & Sportscar Show is back and hopefully bigger than ever, and is on June 20th this year. 12noon - 3:30pm.

Last year we had a varied mix of classics, including 1958 and 1959 Ford Skyliners, and a selection of more modern Ferraris.
This year we hope to have more of the same, and as the theme of the Shiplake Summer Fayre is "Space", with lots of 50's sci-fi imagery, we'd hope to have some more 50's and 60's American cars too.
The show is run alongside the Shiplake Summer Fayre, which has things for the family including a dog show, music, BBQ and bar. All money raised is for charity.
Anyone exhibiting a car is allowed free entry.
If you can come, please let me know which car make/model you'll be bringing so we can get an idea of numbers and marques.

Okay, so the weather forecast has been looking ominous for the past few days, so I'm guessing the numbers of cars coming won't be what I had banked on, but the event is still going ahead, and fingers crossed the rain mostly holds off until the end of the afternoon.
The BBC forecast is the most pessimistic, but the folks at the Norwegian weather bureau, (who are always quite accurate) seem to think we'll get away with just a few showers.

Either way, the BBQ will still be cooking up excellent burgers and the bar will be open.

Well the weather turned out to not as bad as predicted. A few light showers but the real downpour held off until everyone had gone home.
We had 30 cars in all, including a very big contingent from the Barkham & District Classic Car Club, who travelled up in convoy.
Several of the Ferraris that were expected had to pull out due to assorted mechanical woes, and maybe the weather in some cases, but we did have an F40, and an F50, and a 599 GTO.
Not a bad showing for a small local event.
Thanks to all who braved the weather forecast, and hopefully we'll do it all again next year.

For some reason Pistonheads won't let me start a new thread for this years event, and my two attempts have been deleted, but we're on again, on June 25th.
