Hi guys, sorry for the delayed response. Glad you all seemed to enjoy it too! We even managed to pull together a great little hoon for the return journey too - including Mike in the Aventador, the gorgeous Volcano red 12c, and a KTM and a Gallardo that we bumped into at a petrol station! The roads were still empty so we were able to make pretty good progress biggrin

I have Go Pro footage of the entire hoon (rear facing from the SLS) and dash footage of our exit from Wilton through the crowds. Angela suggests I set up a Drop Box account so I'll try and do this. My footage is an hour long and I have no time or ability to edit it, so James your offer would be much appreciated. I'll email the Drop Box around when set up but you all have me email so feel free to send me stuff and perhaps James and I can get together to make something of it?

I'm glad the hoon was largely incident free, I saw one of the RS4s have a bit of a moment, then there was our close range deer spotting and a horse that got spooked not by the speed, but the sight of the Aventador and KTM on our return journey. No harm done in any case and we were genuinely barely moving when the horse decided to start circling in the road!

I'll probably arrange another hoon to the Wilton breakfast meet for convertibles on 28th June if anyone is interested. Also thinking of organising one to end at a really good indoor karting venue in the countryside near Salisbury on another occasion...

Cheers

I'm more than happy to give it a try, only know the very basics though so don't expect too much!!

Thanks again for a great convoy, will keep an eye out for future ones!

Thanks for the run notax, it was a lot of fun. I'd love to come on any more hoons you've got planned if the SLK isn't too slow! Should sound nicer once my Piecha exhaust system arrives from Germany at least.

If any of you guys that went are interested I can share my dashcam footage of the run, will post up a private youtube video or can email it over?

It's mainly just the rear end of the orange Mclaren though haha not sure which user that is?
Did you manage to email us the video footage?

Many thanks

I could do with a hand editing my footage - it is over an hour long so really needs to be cut down before shared. I'm away all this weekend, but maybe next week I could stick it on a memory stick and post it to someone more capable than me?!

Yes that would have been me that had the "moment" in the RS4! Came round the corner at a rate of knotts, only to see the black Porsche 911 turbo stopped! So broke hard and swerved into the other side of the road so I didn't rear end him! Apart from that bottom clenching moment the rest of the hoon was epic!
Thanks Chris for organising, look forward to the next one.

Sitting in my 911 turbo I had a moment when I watched you coming around the corner totally unaware that the rest of us in front were stopped at the junction.

The learning opportunity for the organisers of such events would be to only have one car on stop at each junction rather than a row of cars. Otherwise it is an accident waiting to happen, especially if the other drivers haven't driven the route prior.

Yeah was a bit dodgy! I was then watching in my rear view just hoping the Orange mclaren would stop too and so on and so on!

Yep, that was a real dodgy corner prior to the junction.

It could have resulted in 10 supercars bring written off from the domino effect of the car at the back hitting the car in front hitting the car in from etc!!!

Could have been a nightmare

As I previously said something to keep in mind for future hoons.

A row of cars siting stationary at a junction is always a concern if there is a corner prior to the junction.

This is one of the reasons I prefer a hoon on one of my Superbikes rather than a supercar.

Yes, it is quite tricky as the organiser to get it exactly right. I tend to stop at each junction to regroup, given the number of cars on this hoon it was unfortunate that we tailed back to the end of the bend... Good driving to avoid the 911 Turbo! I'm pleased that we only appeared to lose the Race Viper and the Pagani (which was busy with a film crew anyway) as far as I know there were still about 20 of us when we reached Wilton driving

we were pretty far back in the gtr. know the corner all are speaking of as we also came around there after overtaking a civilian so came in at pace. had plenty enough brakes to stop though.
great pace by all on the drive imo.

Sorry for the late reply but I'm having issues with getting the footage off and been rather busy at the moment with work plus trying to make a deal for an SLK55 AMG so constant phonecalls from various dealers whenever I sit down to start uploading and editing.

I will get on it again ASAP honest!

Seeing the "gang" going west was pretty amazing !! Its not everyday I get blown away twice by four supercars !! Sadly my partner had just put her camera away, so no video im afraid. A great end to a brilliant day.

Uploading it now to a private youtube video but it's taking 20mins for each minute of 1080p footage, so hopefully tonight it'll be finished haha...

Only took 12 hours!

It's not gone together into one video, rather 30 odd individual minute long videos, they're all unlisted so shouldn't be available for anyone to see other than us and anyone you guys share it with:

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrZoia1K0tR...

Highlights of cars roaring off etc are 07:33, 07:51, and 07:56(I definitely wasn't about to cut the corner at the top of these bends when that car came round!).

Please let me know if it isn't working, I thought this was an easier way than trying to upload 4GB of footage into my emails for each group / every time I forget someone smile

Thanks for uploading, I'll take a look through tonight, I'm not sure I have enough varied footage to make a video though frown Gutted my Gopro died, serves me right for leaving the batteries flat for 6 months!!!
