Had a great time! A really nice selection of cars, can't wait to get my photos developed (still using old technology here!) Enjoyed the little blast down the A420 - glad I suggested you go through Buckland as it gave me a chance to catch up going the quick way Amazing noise from the Ferrari opening up on the dual carriageway - brilliant!

Guys you are hard core: jumped on PH as soon as you got home! At least I've waited till I got back to work...

Chuffed! Memorable sunday it was My first ride in a Maserati, and I can only second Kevin on this one: it does shift . what an amazing piece of machinery this is, it simply oozes class and still buries your kidney into the seat! It was also the first time I had the change to hear a Ferrari V8 on full song, courtesy of Kevin who was already ready to drop a gear and floor it! I first experience in a 360 Modena (that was in the driving seat) left mixed feeling. Yesterday’s, experience from behind (well most of the time) was compelling. Continuing with first times.. I had never seen an Ultima 'in the wild' before, i.e. not on a track. In fact I am quite impressed the Ultima made it on this rather bumpy road. So they are road going cars then? .
The return trip on the M40 was very entertaining with this strange Rocket like car drawing everybody's attention - would have preferred if it had spent less time in the right lane though!

All this machinerty was complemented by an extremely friendly bunch of people. A big thank to Mike for organising this and posting all the pics!

Ed, thanks for the pics as well. It's great for those of us who haven't embraced the digital age yet.

I look forward to a next meet.

PS: David, let me know when you are planning to go for this Blackwall Tunnel blast!

Well done for the organisation Mike. Good to see all you guys and girls yesterday with some pretty impressive machinery. Great venue and some great driving roads on the way from London. I've tried to post my photos through Fotango, but the public arena whatsit is broken. Haven't time to sign up with someone else now, and they were no diferent from Mike's.

Kevin and Roms (and anyone else).... sports pies on the Cerb on 30th Aug, all being well. Blackwall tunnel, or Hyde Park corner underpass soon thereafter.

Come on Electricboogaloo where's ya first post??? tell us what you thought of the rari

Bloody hell! After yesterday's drive I've decided I need to get my shocks and springs done sooner rather than later. So i've just got of the phone from Peninsula. A full set of Avo adjustable dampers and springs will be here tomorrow. Just in time for Pie On The Beech.

Gavin

What about the brakes. A nice set of AP Racing discs, bells and callipers would do you fine. Then you would not worry about braking for the bends. Also, how did you let the seven overtake you between Henley and Marlow??

Don't start me of on any more mods, my bank are already upset enough as it is. With regards to the seven, I didn't think i'd left enough room for him to fit in. But hey it's a small car, bit quick though. Hhhmm, maybe I need more power after the brakes. Oh no! Here comes the slippery slope.

I saw Keith Floyd (the chef) at the Trout yesterday! There was a Ferrari 348 spyder there too - reminded me of last years Pie & Trout meet
