There's an invite only meet for serious enthusiasts on the 5th of Sept.
Ive been asked to spread the word.
The location wont be revealed till nearer the time. By the looks of things, it depends on numbers attending.
All they are saying is that its 15miles from J7 on the M25.

You need to add johnthemeet doe on Facebook or email johnthemeetdoe@hotmail.com for more info.

By the looks of things already, there is some serious cars going...
1000bhp Lambo
800bhp Blitz Supra
240bhp turbo bike
Several Porcshe turbos
A 400bhp Citroen Ax!!!
And a heap more.

It might not be up everyones street, but hey ho!

This sounds good. Is it only open to those who have cars like the ones you've listed though?

This is taken from the event...

"This event will be for serious petrol heads/cars/enthusiasts/bikes. On a strictly invitation only basis.

Slow Corsas, body kits, ICEd out cars, mopeds need not apply- you're not welcome.
This is NOT for mega horsepower supercars only. It doesn't matter if you drive a 205GTI, an old skool Mini, a 1000bhp GTR or a classic Ford.

At present, we have cars ranging from a tuned Citroen AxGT and Renault 5 GT Turbo to 1000bhp Lambo and turbo motorbike. And a whole lot in between
If you are a genuine petrol head then you are more than welcome.

There will be no burger van, no hoodies, no models, no window stickers
This will be big boys (and girls) playtime....

The meeting point will be sent via PM closer to the time.
At the moment, all we will say is that its 15 miles off J7 on the M25.

Tell your friends. Only YOU can make this event popular with serious cars.

We all like to take photos and videos, but we respectfully ask that you do not publish these online, so we do not get any "unwanted attention".

Any questions pm one of the admins.

Please drive within your limits. Any racing etc is your choice. We cannot be held responsible for your actions."

Cheers for that. One last question (sorry I don't have a facebook account), will it most likely be an evening meet or morning meet?

Well, that's a message fired over to that FB account. I would love to come along - work has stuck me out in the middle of nowhere for 6 months so attending meets has been pretty difficult!

There's a good list of cars coming so far. Including a 1500bhp Supra, YB powered Mk1 Escort, Integrals, Classic mini powered by an R1 engine and a fair few others.

Sadly, the 400bhp Citroen Ax snapped the gear box main shaft the other day. Was looking forward to seeing that go!

Should be a good meet!

This just sounds like a Kruze for rich kids ! Why would you assume a person in a Corsa would be any less of a petrol head? A love of cars is not defined by the car you drive, or is the way you dress a reflection upon a persons character.
Not i feel in the spirit of PH. Not that you asked but hey public forums.

Im sure i would not be the only person that thinks this right ? ..tumbleweed

I have to agree here 100% that it doesn't matter what car you drive or how you dress etc. The PH is about being into cars and the love of them. Everyone on the forum is here for that reason

I agree. This reeks of "we're going to fracture the law and want only a certain type to be there". Invitation only, but tell your friends?
Through PH I have met some great folk, learnt a lot and hopefully on occasion helped one or two. That's how I personally view a forum, as a social place where a common interest can expand into friendship.
This reminds me of another poster who, more than once, has mentioned some meeting or other, and then not said anything of detail because it was "a bit special". Why not start your own forum where this sort of insular attitude can be embedded into forum rules?
