Circuits de Remparts Angouleme Sept 18/19/20

Just wondered if any PHers were heading down to the classic car racing at Angouleme? I've never been myself but was looking for an excuse for a road trip with something to look at at the other end. Weather being reasonable i may shoot down with some friends on bikes.

Not going this year but can highly recomend it! A great event. The run down to Cognac is like a mini Mille Miglia with people in the villages you pass all waving and shouting for you to boot it!

Last time I went with the Maserati club and we got 5 laps of the circuit in-between races. It's something i'll never forget.

We are a group of 6 of us heading down on Friday and coming back on the Monday, flying as we are being boring this year!!

Going to Shelsea Walsh this year on the same dates, but will definitely be going to this event next year, videos on the net look fantastic and would be a great trip.

Would be good to get some tips on where to stay from anyone who's been before or going this year.
