Whoa and I thought I had a moment when I entered brooklands a bit too hot... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Pc34tg_b7g

So if anyone has any footage or pics of the silver roof down Boxster from the 1045 novice session, please let me know!

And if you were in the silver MX5 which span in front of me, it's on video!

Great day, many thanks PH! thumbup
Ah, that would be me. Hopefully not on Youtube?! Clearly still need to work on my powersliding skills and avoid the reflex action of stamping on the brake and clutch pedals...I'd be glad to hear from anyone who has slightly less embarrassing footage/photography too biggrin

I thought the novice session was really good, although as I was right at the back when heading onto the circuit the racing line may have been slightly different by the time it got to me!

Thanks to all at PH for organising - was a great day, including the weather.

Out of curiosity, I'd be interested to know more about the other silver Eunos/MX-5 in the 10:45 session - looked to have a different set up to standard.

This wa my 1st ever track session and what a place to do it. Great great day and experience and bid thanks to PH for organising it. Everything was perfect and everybody seemed to behave on track. Great machines out there. If anyone has any footage or pics on the blue Impreza on the 10.45am novice session that would be great...Had a massive moment at Brooklands where i had to go on to the grass on the right hand side.

Well, here's the vid, there's definitely an MX5 pirouetting early on in the video, but as the footage isn't that clear, between you, me, and the internet we'll just say it was the other one that was out at that time...whistle

I'd also like to take this opportunity to apologise to you, and also the drivers of the DS3, the VX220, the S2000, the TT, the little silver hatchback, the schmokin' BMW, in fact pretty much every other car out on track for the commentary. For some reason, when I uploaded the track to YouTube, the sensible, considerate comments made by two, intelligent, forty-something, complete track day newbies, would appear to have somehow got swapped with the immature, puerile, foul-mouthed ramblings of some teenage Beavis and Butthead wannabees, of which the one behind the wheel clearly thinks that he is also "A Driving God". I have complained to YouTube about this in the strongest terms.readit

On a lighter note I just fell in love with the Boxster again yesterday, yes I boiled the brakes, yes I had the finesse of a hippo behind the wheel, but she still did us proud. Five grand and you can do that with it, and today Mrs HD (who was watching from Copse) has just toodled off the the station in it for her morning commute. So much bang for buck...still hoping someone has a pit wall picture!

Enjoy!

You boys seem to have been on all of the track days I've done this year, seriously quick cars/driving.

...and as a result of this I only got 3.5 laps of the track. Massively disappointed, especially as I had spent a day prepping the car and the weather at Silverstone was fantastic frown

I didn't spot me, but then again i don't think i was far behind you biggrin

To the guy in the White evo 5 in our session though, please please look in your mirrors next time, you were 'that guy' which was mentioned about in the briefing as you held up a good few up including me, doing the trick of dead slow through the corners especially Becketts and then booting it on the straights.

I hope you don't mind but I've downloaded that photo to use as my desktop background. I think it's the best photo of my car anyone's ever got! The ring photographers only ever seem to get me gurning on the carousel. Thanks for your amazing photography skills! Do come and say hello at the next meet too (maybe nick your father in laws BGTS as well!)

No problem at all! Thanks smile haha I'm not sure I'll get away with that, but the little GT86 will do me fine wink

Exactly this, the commentary makes it!

Like my video I just wish it recorded for a while longer - think I passed you a lap or so later? - Just didn't have the grunt when I tried and wanted to leave a good amount of room for the corner

Its quite hard to see just how smokey I was from inside the car and my video only faces forwards frown
