I feel a little sorry for anyone for whom this was their first SS. Anything else will be an anti-climax.

Transport museum in Coventry? I've not been for a while but it's just had a £9.5m makeover and has lots of interesting stuff. Free entry too.

Sadly I can't recommend the Coventry Transport Museum, whent there with my owner's club and they gave us the square out front to park in.

On arrival there first words where "i'd leave some people outside to keep an eye on the cars" my Mrs almost came to blows with a member of Joe Public who took offense to her saying there daughter couldn't just get in to a member's car without asking, with "you shouldn't put them outside a museum if you don't want people to sit in them".

Other than that the museum and their staff were great, but the warning meant they'd clearly had issues before.
