I've been to the Garforth factory several times and its always an interesting visit. Ginettas were the best kept secret for many years (Since 1958) but now they have taken over the modern racing scene too. Would love to see more road cars too but I guess modern euro regs are too hard and expensive to overcome for small firms. I still prefer the classics but when the new ones become classics I'll be buying one of those too. H

Sounds like a good venue, I have family near by so have booked a room at the holiday inn down the road for Saturday night and making a weekend of the trip up north!

Come on Northern PH'ers. Southern SS's fill up in 10 minutes, if you want your friends at PH to Look North again then show some enthusiasm :-)

And yes I'm a Southern Softy who's making the trip Oop Norf for this one.

I don't think many Northerners know about this meet. I've never clicked on 'Sunday Service' tab before now. Maybe a repost over in the 'Yorkshire' thread will get a few more views.

Excellent - under 3 miles from home. An early start that's not really an early start.

Subject to 100s of caveats I'll be game for a convoy, coming from Oxford, up A43 so meet on M1 somewhere?

Jolly good. Caveats aside Lez, meeting point at McDonalds, Swan Valley Services Northbound, Junc. 15a would make sense. What time are you planning to leave Oxford (if you've decided yet) ?

Sadly I think we're looking at 6:45 unless as the local you can convince me later :-) or earlier :-(

Ross, would that be the A38 junction?, if so what sort of time ? Based on Lez's eta at Northampton I'm thinking that'll get us to you somewhere around or just before 8.30 ish?

Lez, I reckon that'll put you at 15a between 7.30 & 7.45 (depending on how enthusiastic you feel!) I'm reckoning on about an hour and a half to Garforth but there are/were average speed cameras from Northampton to M6 junction so this may add a bit.

All guess work of course as I've no idea of your respective driving "styles" driving

I'm more than happy to be led by you (especially if it's later than my guess) I just hope we get to bring an interesting car and the weather doesn't make me bring my Insignia estate company car.
