Pretty sure it is. There's a Facebook event for it.

Sadly my mk1 mx5 is no longer roadworthy so will be heading up in the mk3. Will have to park it down the road so as not to wind up the vintage guys.

Shall probably wander along with the camera and a rather disheveled looking Alfa, would be rude not to as it's only about 5 miles away and I'm not planning a heavy night ...

What's the parking like for non-classics?

Cars park / line both sides of the A30, just continue driving past the Phoenix pub until you see a space...a couple of hundred yards at the most or about turn and park on the side heading back towards Hartley Wintney.

Busy meet over at the Phoenix Inn this morning, A30 a car park as usual. Everything there from vintages to McLarens via hot rods and classics. The rain even stayed away, but beginning to spit in Reading now.

agreed what a cracking meet and a chance to blow out the hangover.

some really different mixes from a 650S spyder to a mk2 escort, mk1 RS turbo, audi R8 V10 to military vehicles and E type jags. no plod either which was a surprise and people left to their own devices and it worked.

Anyone know if they're still running these meets? Is it happening tomorrow?

I assume so, I’m heading up as per usual. If it’s quite I’ll head up to Brooklands.

Actually, I did something a bit radical and phoned the pub and actually spoke to a real person.. biggrin

And, yes, the meet is on!

I'll be in the Champagne Gold 1966 Daimler V8 saloon..

What time do people start arriving? I might pop up in the Lagonda.

What an amazing variety of cars on show today. From tractors to McLarens. Old school American muscle and hot rods to vintage Japanese and European cars. As well as those blood massive ex RAF trucks (they were extremely impressive in person). Great to see so many people bring out their prides and joys for people to admire and take pictures of.

I don't know if there's a photo thread but it was indeed a good turn out, the tractor boys made me chuckle!
Here's one of the Lagonda, which on such a nice day, was perfect. smile

Such a mix of motors which is why love this place on New Year’s Day
Think the driver of the white Alfa 4c Lucky not to be left a scratch on his car after his parking causing large vehicles to get stuck

I am not on FB so unless heard to the contrary, I'll be heading over mid-morning.
