Annual Brighton Convoy & Meet Event 29th May 2016

This event will be taking place on 29th May 2016 - most likely to be on the Brighton seafront as usual.

It is a Jaguar EXCLUSIVE event, and I am working on gaining much more industry support than previously, and ensuring that everyone has a fantastic day to remember.

There will be a convoy on the morning from Pease Pottage Services to the seafront, with us all setting up camp in one huge parking block prior to a fantastic breakfast with a sea view, and the main meet with as much going on as I can pull together for us including a free raffle for a number of must-have goodies, industry reps (see Industry Attendees list below to see who will have reps onsite) for you to quiz with problems, discounts etc etc. Plus the usual Welcome Packs on the day with free samples, info etc etc.

Our event is developing well - here is this weeks summary for you:

We currently have:

42 vehicles and 65 people signed up so far

For the first time ever we have an official event support vehicle

We have an official event photographer with fantastic credentials

Eleven major sponsors supporting us plus an advertising sponsor (many many thanks to them for their continued & ongoing support)

Three sponsors have confirmed they will have representatives on site to answer your sales, servicing, lubricant and transmission questions

Four companies have agreed to list the event as an official event in their calendars

Our VisitBrighton tourist website, DriveAddiction.com, Carphile.com, & Brighton Argus events page entries are up online

A range of sponsorship enquiries still on the go

Two potential sponsors with negotiations very much still ongoing.

Agreed with both of you :-) This is a Jaguar event and not titled ideally but it is what I have for the moment.

Just a brief update for anyone finding the thread...

Brighton & Hove Highway Events team has given final confirmation that Madiera Drive will be open and available for us. I am currently waiting on the Brighton & Hove Parking team to confirm the rates for the pay and display parking on the day, and I am waiting on feedback from some local hotels regarding recommended accomodation and any discounts for people who may be travelling some way to the event - noting we do have a group travelling across from the Netherlands to name just one location.

Additionally I am on the case regarding the primary venue and obtaining space there set aside for us, have had final confirmation regarding the industry reps that will be attending on the day to answer all your Jaguar sales, servicing, lubrication and transmission questions..

We also have confirmation of our breakfast venue which is to be the Harvester in Madiera Drive, with a fixed price breakfast of £4.99 plus drinks.

As soon as I have confirmation of approved event accomodation, parking costs at the main venue and anything else that pops up I will let you know.
