They will be happening. Not everyone wants 150-200 cars coming to their venue because they don't want to a) Annoy their existing customers b) Can't cope with those numbers c) Want to charge a hefty sum for having the venue made available for such numbers D) Don't want to be liable for complaints/misbehaviour from neighbours/police etc
Sit tight...I've been doing these for years & and to be honest I'm glad I've not had one organised as the weather has been so hit & miss anyway, fingers crossed July is consistently hot.
Hi, The Red Barn near Lingfield has a good size car park but not sure how busy it gets during the week. I may have a drive down there later & ask the manager what his thoughts are on having a car meet there. It might be best if I say that there will be around 30-40 cars.

I popped in to the Jolly Farmer last week & had a chat with the guy there. He seemed happy enough for his car park & field to be used for a car meet. I expect it could hold 100-200 cars. The pub is just average but that's irrelevant. I did also have a look at the Red Barn car park....which is a lot bigger than I'd remembered. But the food & wine was so enjoyable I completely forgot to ask the manager about the possibility of a car meet. Will try & get down there again this week.
