There will be a special one hour Jaguar race held on the Saturday morning before the "real" racing commences. This will comprise of up to 60 Jaguars depending on entries, and Jaguar themselves are coming with some of their cars. Must be serious because they are sending ten mechanics!

Is it just that and the GT3/LMP3 race or do we get another single series race like recent years?

Wrong wording on my behalf. This for the Le Mans Classic, so Classic Le Mans. Apologies.

That sounds excellent, are you entering the race Lowdrag, or is it true competition cars?

I know the Aston Martin race of past was all series, would be great to see a range at this event.

Sadly, anno domini isn't being very kind to me Mark, and anyway, I don't think that replicas would be allowed, although with modification the E-type could. My XKSS would need considerably modifying even if eligible, such as fire extinguishers, battery cut-out, roll over bar and so on. On the subject of my cars, there may be some news in the foreseeable future, but as yet I am not thinking too much about it. We'll see. Anyway, have a look here:-

Le Mans is an additional race and the entry fee is, I believe, 1,500€.

Hi Toad, well I am very interested if that is something you're entering.

This will make you smile, here is our friend Nigel Webb parked up in Dieppe with his then wife Naomi as they used to come to Le Mans with our group and camp at the café by the main entrance. The first year he came down in his SS100 and the next year arrived in his 1953 C Type Jaguar and XJ13 replica... Oh how times change, we still go to Le Mans and either camp or hotel it, but certainly don't enter at least two of our own cars laugh

I still remember your party at the first ever CLM events with my Dad and Foxy smile (Sadly the E Type has gone and dementia has set in)

Bloody hell, that was 14 years ago now! Sorry to hear about Ricky, but if you want to come round on the Friday night all being well there may be a few people. Petronel is not well, many others have died like Timmy, but the rest of us will attempt to make up for the loss. smile With the morning race, it wouldn't surprise me if Nigel doesn't bring the C, D and E this year. He is possibly on his swan song.
