Hi guys,

Many of you know about The Supercar Event, indeed some reading this probably drive at it each year!

We have some truly exciting attractions for 2016. Firstly, how about a lunchtime demo of the ex-Nelson Piquet race winning Benetton? It's taken 18 months to organise this so I hope it's well received. Two 10 minute slots at either end of our lunch break, both days.

Every penny of profit goes directly to The Children's Trust, so please come along and support us if you can. www.thesupercarevent.com

This year we've decided to allocate 200 spaces exclusively for Pistonheads members on both days to show their P&J in an area that's close to the main event centre. This is at the reduced rate of £15 per car which includes one passenger. Umair from Garaged.com will be managing this....details soon!

Any questions, please ask.

Thanks.

Richard

Hi. As per message yesterday, drop Pete an email but as Mark mentioned above, I'm pretty sure the list is full. Thx.

I'm going as part of the Sporting Bears Dream Rides team - hoping to see some of the event whilst I am there!

I'll be playing on the main track, endeavoring to scare the passengers without scaring myself.

It's probably my favourite weekend of the year

Looking at your profile, your car looks familiar. You didn't happen to spin in the rain on the Saturday last year did you?

Yes i did a very lazy spin at that too. Grabbed second instead of third on that weird icy tarmac at gambon! You only do that once :-p

Yep - I was in the 360 behind you.

That surface is weird. It hardly feels any different in the dry - I guess my car twitches more there than it does anywhere else on the track, but still feels fine. However, in the wet it did feel practically like sheet ice - was absolutely horrible.

Praying for a Dry Weekend, Vipers don't like rain. Trying to push rain water out from the middle of a 335 x 30 18" tyre is a little tricky.

If it is wet, I won't be going quick wink Just make sure you pass me on the overtaking straights only, Thanks.

Whilst your tyres are wider than mine, I've only got 100kg on each front corner pushing the rain away, so I too am hoping for a dry weekend, especially as I don't like sitting in a puddle smile
