lads, I've just set the date for the next Shepperton Classic Cars meet, Sunday 21st August, 10am start. All info is on the website www.sheppertonclassiccars.uk I hope to see some of you there! As per usual, it'll be an interesting mix of recent and not-too-recent classics, we never know what may turn up.

one week away now. I previously forgot to mention that it's entirely free, no money involved at all.

I was there in the Stag, and Dad piloted the Jensen... I also had a mate join us in his Tamora, and another with his Blue Dolomite Sprint.

Good turn out smile

I was there in my Mustang and a friend of mine in a white MGB. I had a gorgeous Interceptor parked next to me.

Good little gathering, made better by unexpectedly meeting the previous owner of my Mustang there.

You were in the Mach 1 then? - lovely smile

The Jensen next you wasn't mine, I had the yellow Convertible parked in the middle bit in front of you.

Yes. Both Interceptors were gorgeous, I might add.

As always, I had a good sniff of the inside of most of the cars there. The smell of your convertible's leather was glorious!

Was that your red Stag next to it? Stunning condition!

I'm glad you guys enjoyed it, I try and keep it slightly low-key....and only 3 times a year so it doesn't get boring......the locals really enjoy it from the feedback I've had in the past, including the features in the village magazine. The only one drawback we have is that we can't get a cup off coffee/bacon sandwich on site, but it is available further down the High Street. A friend of mine does have a chuck wagon, but they need to apply to the council for a licence and I'm pretty sure that if we apply for one...in a council car park...they're not going to like it. I don't know if any of you guys spotted the Spelthorne Council van come around at about 11.30 to take a look at what we get up to? They've done it for the last 4 meetings..........just checking up on us I suppose.

Yup, that's my Stag. 42 years old next month, and all original.

Lotus72- I'd keep it exactly as it is. It's a lovely friendly meet up, and you can always get brekkie on the way there, or brunch on the way home smile

Yes, thanks for that, it's exactly what I've aimed for from the start, nothing too heavy. We'll have the last one of the year, probably the first week of October, keep a check on the website.
