I went of Friday - couldn't make the weekend. It was a fabulous day.

Problems on entry with traffic at the roundabout at the main entrance but apart from that a faultless day. I've been out all today so have been unable to post images, but I will tomorrow.

Any Aston fan, and who isn't, who misses it with regret it forever.

What I like about it is how friendly the exhibitors are. I say a 60s racing sports car and although I half recognised it I couldn't name it. My friend was unable to as well. I went up to one of the chaps who'd just pushed it into position and he chatted away.

It's a bit like Goodwood FoS used to be.

I will be there for the weekend next year.

Concur with the above, it's a brilliant event that's well organised and has access all areas. The Stranglers last night were banging!

I like the event but I see it deteriorating year on year. I have only attended on Sunday this year and it seemed a shadow of its former self, nowhere near as busy and far less to see. Sadly I fear it is slowly but surely pricing itself out of existence.

This year was far busier than recent years. There were more official manufacturer stands, I hope this doesn't continue as this is what has killed Goodwood for me, moving from an enthusiast to a Joe Public event.

I have been going for over 5 years, went Saturday and still rate it as first class and one of the best, the grids and racing are still fantastic, pit access is second to none, beer and food is a lot better priced than most events. Only £45 for the day or £22 through a club, plus you have the Stranglers, thrown in, bloody good value.

My only comment is that there has been a decreasing number of interesting older classics in the infield, only a handful of older Maserati, Astons, Ferraris, Alfas and definite decrease in the other interesting marques. Although Lamborghini had a great line up, Piper had nearly all the cars which were made, and five Lancia Flaminias. I assume this is because of previous queuing to get in, not fun in a car that doesn’t have an electric fan. Although I got there at 8am and drove straight in, which is a first, so did my mates that arrived mid morning.

Also it’s becoming a bit of Porsche event, last year was a bit self-flattery with complete waste of space for 10 cars or so. This year l think I have seen my life’s quota, didn’t like being turned away from almost empty stand as I wasn’t a member of the POC. Hopefully this isn’t the beginning of the end, as some may think Porsches are (now) a bit mundane and boring.

I went along today. I had a club ticket and took my 964. I've been attending with various car clubs for about 10 years, though I missed last year's event.

I took a friend who's been going g for as long as I have.

I thought that there were far fewer visitors attending than I l previous years.

Went on Saturday. Great event as always, but the infield was absolutely festooned with dozens and dozens of virtually identical 911s, Boxsters, Caymans et al. Space that in previous years would have been occupied by a greater variety of performance classics. I'm all for car clubs, but do we really need hundreds of the same marque? Enjoyed the racing, though. The Grp C racers coming through the twilight with lights ablaze and overrun turbo flames was epic. Watched from the stand at Luffield; the sight and sound of them hooning down the old start/finish and braking into Copse with echoing kabooms on downshifts was the best thing in the whole event.

Went Friday and Saturday, had great time, access to the pit garages on the Friday was a real treat and was open to all. Some epic racing. I like the manufacturer stuff, and had an interesting ride in an F-type doing doughnuts around their figure of 8 smile I also like the car club stuff, not every car is my cup of tea, but it's great to mingle with other petrolheads, whatever they are into.

Didn't mind the Porsches, but as they are my thing even better. The main reason there were so many, was due party to the fact that Porsche Club GB had made the Classic their national event this year. Hence the big turn out.

Paid less than 80 quid for two people for the two days ... Great VFM smile

Don't think anyone found our car club stand on the Saturday. We were only there for the one day and they had put us in the back of what could only be described as the Porsche overflow car park. Or in other words the Waitrose supermarket parking biggrin

We even had Porsches parking in the same row as our cars which hacked a few Viper owners off!

We also had the First European Gen V ACR Viper on display, but we were smothered behind silver porsches frown

Anyone spot it?

Last year was a record, so not sure what you're on about there. Not sure how this year faired, but i was in the new pits so a bit different.

I was surprised how busy it was on the Friday - it was packed. Seemed some people enjoyed Saturday night a bit much as Sunday was certainly the quietest!

As a racer, it's really nice to have a crowd for a change. Everyone was polite, happy and really enthusiastic. Already looking forward to next year.

It was far busier this year than last. Last year may have had record ticket sales but the weather was dreadful on both the Sat and Sun so no one turned up.

This year had the best weather for the last few years. I'm usually stood watching the bands with an umbrella up.

Never even knew you were there frown
We wandered into the 'car park' behind the old pits and just found row after row of Porsche so walked back out again. Usually theres some interesting clubs parked in there but it resembled a car park at a Surrey Waitrose.

Saturday was pretty busy, hour long queue to get in and a lot of people about.
Sunday was much quieter, we drove straight in. Some very good racing though I still don't think the grids are as good as they were 5 years or so ago.
Still an event I really enjoy and a massive improvement on last year which was the worst it's ever been.

Brooklands was good on the Friday smile

We had 26 Cars at Silverstone, you won't see that again!
