No, the Wings and Wheels event is run by the Brooklands trust. You have to apply to put your car in the paddock for sprint demonstrations. It not timed, its just a demonstration.

Red Arrows grounded today due to a storm over Brize Norton.

Shame about the weather today frown
There was also a strong head wind on the runway, lowered my Terminal speed by at least 5 to 6 mph Managed 149mph today with some interesting braking at the end! whistle

I was expecting to be queueing loads but breezed in around 9am and left just after the Eurofighter and was out in minutes.

Didn't feel as crowded as the last time I went and was an enjoyable day even if it did rain a lot.

Was good to meet you, 4 x 140mph runs for me, pretty happy with that.
Much less busy than last year and all the more enjoyable for it.

Really enjoyed the weekend. Great to meet a few of you as well.
Pretty much 140 over the runs in the SVR, not sure exact as concentrating too much hehe

Sundays crowd figures were significantly down on last years numbers also a lot of no shows for the prebooked paddock!
But in spite of all that I had a great time. Eurofighter was pretty spectacular with the low cloud and the swirls coming off the delta wing. cool

That Eurofighter never ceases to amaze me every time I see it display... I took nearly 200 shots of it and have only had a quick flick through them but quite liked this one
