Isn't the confusion here that the organisers are asking people attending the event in non-supercars *not* to part in the public car park (as well as obviously not in the event section)? I understand the source of this fear; if the event is mobbed by say 300 spectators, there won't be any public spaces left for people who just want to visit Virginia Water, which could result in cancellation of future events.
There are so many problems with that statement I almost don't know where to start. If I turn up in my 996 Turbo, it isn't really a supercar, but parked in the public bit you might assume I'm a petrolhead attending the event and thus exceeding the 300 car limit. But if I come along in the family SUV, who's to know why I'm there, other than a vague worry that the car park is busier than usual? If the intent is to make this an exclusive event only for supercar owners, and spectators aren't encouraged, then why hold it somewhere so public? If that isn't the case, just accept that there will be spectators, and they'll drive whatever they like and will park with the rest of the public.
Maybe the edict should actually be: "if you haven't got a place in the 300, don't turn up in your Lamborghini Miura and park it next to the Range Rovers and Dacias in the public bit, as it makes us look like we're taking the p*ss with the space limit"?
Or perhaps I've got the wrong end of the stick entirely...
That's how I was reading it. Does seem a bit bizarre to hold an event in a public car park but then suggest people don't turn up to have a look! There are so many problems with that statement I almost don't know where to start. Guys, really is no snobbery about it.
We are trying to arrange get togethers for Supercar owners, not VW Golf G60's, not Subaru Impreza's, not Ford F150's.....
The only thing we are trying to avoid is the owners not allowing us back, because us & our visitors are taking over the whole car park, therefore leaving no room for the lake users (who DO & WILL complain), that simple.
Obviously these events will create a bit of a buzz, and people will be a bit curious & want to see, but remembering we are trying to organise cars & coffee style meets for Supercar owners.
Everybody is free to turn up & park in the public side, of course they are. But....... If we end up taking over the car park, we will not be asked back again.
Hope that makes it clearer 👍🏻

I wish you luck with the event anselmolee but I think it is inevitable that the number of visitors will quickly escalate to being a problem. Seems that supercars attract too much attention nowadays, encouraged by YouTube and Instagram users who have become rich off the back of such events.
And it's not just supercars, look at the chaos that was caused at Cobham services with a modified meet.
There was a also a recent private trackday at Goodwood that caused problems due to the sheer number of people turning up to see some supercars convoy in.
This is the "power of the internet" and the problem of holding these events in public places, with free access.
I have no issue with it being a supercar only meet, if I had one (or could afford one) I'd definitely join the display
Hopefully your event goes off without a hitch and the weather is kind to you.

I attended this event at the beginning of the year, which I brought along my Bmw Csl. I very much enjoyed the event and I was looking forward to future events here so I could bring my other cars, like I do at Wilton house wake up. After reading some of the rules I find it quite inconceivable that people that have nice cars but not super cars are not allowed to park in the same area. I thought it was all about talking to people and looking at different cars like we do at Wilton house. I don't agree with this stupid rule at all and will not be attending any of the future events that this man has organised, I have my own collection of cars, which have been to many events this year and I am very happy to let anyone park their Fiesta next to my P1 and enjoy the day. I find it very hard to believe someone has allowed this to happen and spoil a good day for everybody.

Thanks for your comments & thoughts. It is totally understandable that there will be people who do not wish to attend, as said before what we are trying to create here is a gathering of Super & HyperCars, there are plenty of other meets for ALL other Marques of cars.We held our 1st meet on the 14th August so it certainly wasn't ours you attended.
We have had nothing but great feedback, even from many people such as local's & local businesses etc who got involved.
Getting the format & entries spot on will not happen overnight, these things take time. Talking of Wilton, when I arranged my convoy to the last Classics & Supercar event with Will personally, he had to give the ok & make the final decision on which could could join & exhibit on the lawns, there was no snobbery intended, BUT the event was designed for Classics & Supercars, really that simple.
Ferrari are holding an event at Silverstone over the next couple of days, I wouldn't dare take my Porsche, but the 575m...... Of course!
This thread was purely meant as an additional way to let people know where & when, in all honesty it is not needed since we already have 300 + Supercars confirmed, from private individuals up to manufacturers themselves, so we believe there was clearly a call & demand for these events.
Again, apologies for anyone who feels that this is snobbery, really not intended. I may see you at other meets in other cars.
If you took the time and read what I said, then you could see that I was talking about Wilton wake up, which is completey different to the classic and supercar day. Will, Jen and many others these make Wake up events a complete sucess by welcoming everyone no matter what car or class you have or are. I really hope I don't as u put it, bump into you at any future events that I attend, as I find you condescending. I do hope that next year Virginia Water goes back to its original Pistonhead event, enabling everyone to enjoy the day, whatever they own.
