yj are you still ranting on about this? good grief
shopping trolleys park on the left
supercars to the right
its pretty simple. even derek and doris should get it
everyone is gone by the time that most people wake up so it should not be a problem. its a polite request from the folks on here that half decent cars try to park on the right so there is a decent collection. not a jumble of everydayers with some special machinery.
seeing the F40, F50, koeniggsegg and XJ220 together was very special., no one needs a fiesta in the mix.
there was some tool last time round in some bazzed up mk4 golf painted yellow with that horrid American bouncy hydraulic suspension in the mix. it looked awful. truly scheit. especially parked near a 993 turbo 996 GT3 and 996 GT3 RS. use your loaf & park to the left.
A golf is just as much a supercar as a 996 is....shopping trolleys park on the left

Sorry, but laughable. The Porsche is a top-end sports car, agreed but I don't think there's much of a comparison really...
Haven't been on PH for ages but wanted to catch up with what was going on.
As a member of Berkshire Tvr we had a very successful (if small meet) at VW at the start of the year.
The main point of worry for the Carpark warden was public safety and noise, as long as you drive slowly and don't rev the cars up it should be fine.
Not sure how the "public" will react to badly parked "supercars" that will wait to be seen.
Unfortunately as I do not own a supercar (TVR Chim and MG3 with stripes)and both my cars could fall in to the spectator category (I have no dog to walk) I feel I should not attend this event after reading all the posts about parking etc.
I hope you have good weather and a great morning.

Not entirely aimed towards you , more the seemingly endless posts regarding the negative notion of snoberry

Fuco I genuinely didn't know that Wilton or Goodwood did events you could go to spectate for free. The remark about no need to go to VW event then, was a joke, but I will consider myself wrist slapped and hope anyone who goes enjoys regardless of where they park.

Right, so just to clear this up. (not interested in the disagreements or anything like that, just the cars )
I would like to visit tomorrow to take some pictures, I only have an old Corsa, so where do/can I park just as a visitor?
Cheers
well.. you can park in the normal side of the carpark...I would like to visit tomorrow to take some pictures, I only have an old Corsa, so where do/can I park just as a visitor?
Cheers
BUT be sure not to over crowd the other side of the carpark if it is filled up with cars as the operators will get annoyed and cancel the next event.
or... bring a dog and pretend to be a dog walker...

Seriously, come down. Last time was a great event I'm sure tomorrow (weather permitting) will be just as good and if you love fast cars and know how to use a camera it's a great way to spend a coupe of hours on a Sunday morning.
