The driving standards of the 10:10 session were well below that of a typical track day. The chap in the blue Subaru was by far the worst - absolutely crawling round the corners and then mashing the throttle up the straights. Completely selfish and it makes the other drivers following so frustrated that they end up going for a dangerous overtake.
I thought they were ok.
White gt4 was a bit of a knob.
There was a grey e46 m3 going a bit HAM but to be expected on intermediate day. Aside from that was good i thought!

Sorry if i got in anyone's way in the 10.10 sesh. my oil temps were wayyy too high so backed off on the straights

Matt97 - There was alot coming out for around 400m. Did smell nice though. It seemed everything went wrong all at once with the red integra spinning and the white integra in the gravel.

Puma man - Good talking to you. My name is Charles.

Again apologies to everyone, won't be going back out until I know it's sorted.

Well, little Bubli finally made it along after some time-out sorting bits with a few more still required.

An 'all-or-nothing I'm going' adventure she generally held well smile

Although, she did embarrassingly decide to break her fuel switch as I was moving her to the other car parking area.

Thanks to all the support, and laughs, I had; especially for the lock wire that did the trick! Even got my watch back wink

An intense but great fun escapade smile

Super turn-out and fab Sunday Service once again!

Hey Blipi - I was one of the 3 guys who stopped to assist a damsel in distress....... and then promptly watched as you crawled under the car and fixed it yourself cool

Cheers for giving my mates Son a lift round the car park - it made his day.

Hope you made it back to sunny Kettering (small world etc) without further events thumbup

L33
Glad he enjoyed it! Probably very nervous!!!
Thanks again for the help, if you also Kettering way do feel free to wave if you see me in Bubli or my Red Elan smile

This was the first Sunday service I've attended and just wanted to say thanks to all those who arrange these. Took the 924 to represent the transaxle era of Porsches and had a great morning, good selection of cars\track action and friendly atmosphere,

thanks

No problems here, wasn't sure if I was holding you up or not in the white Integra?

How was white GT4 "a bit of a knob"? Just interested as I'd consider myself considerate and "safe" on track, but if you're experience if different, and I'm doing something wrong, let me know cos it's all learning smile
From the pit wall think saw you twice down the straight indicating right when there was nothing behind you, the marshals were intrigued too, possibly this but can't say for sure ?

Ash1751, thanks for the picture of my Clio 182 on track smile

It's a shame we didn't get to catch up but we'll coordinate next time!!

My first time on track in the Clio and I learned that it doesn't perform brilliantly on 3 different types of budget rubber and some old brake fluid...

No worries, I love this car, remember seeing it at Brooklands early in the year. Credit is nice but doubt anyone pays any attention anyway smile Plenty more to come!

Ahh... I always just leave the indicator ticking when doing cool downs laps, always do it, 55/60 and don't touch brakes.. I was going round for a couple of cool down laps each time at the end being such a short lap ... I value my brakes wink
That might explain it, never seen that before, no need to do that imho just ease off, keep off the racing line where possible and watch your mirrors, think you were going too slow even for a slow down lap that's what may have caused the negative comments. Lovely car btw

Great day and thanks again to PH for organising this!
Had a good time on track in the 9.35 apart from completely cooking the brakes! And nearly shaking the car to death! 🙈 Sorry if i got in anyones way (silver 1series 123d coupe) tried my best to get out of the way of those in faster machinery!

Would have been better if my brakes didnt overheat and didnt have to keep taking slow part laps to cool them off. Seems i wasnt the only one though! Glad i cought up with the driver of the 120d hatch after the session , i was wondering how you were keeping pace, turns out my suspicions werr right about a remap! 👍🏽 also shout to one of the 197 blue clios, spent most of my session up behind you, cars were pretty evenly matched!

All in all grat day, good driving by all (imo in my session) and top cars for me in the day were the mint white Gt2 Club Sport (good to chat to you whoever you were) the Hakosuka GT-R and the 22B

To echo what Tux said - well done to everyone on the 11:20 session, What happened to everyone at the end though? I was worried that I'd missed the chequered flag, the track was empty.
I don't know, I saw four cars head in so I followed as my watch said we'd had around 30 mins but I went straight back out as I saw others still out and a green light on the pit lane.

As I came around again the 2 in front pulled into the pits so I thought I definately must have missed the flag but I saw others carrying on past.

confused

How did everyone find the grip ?

I was trying out some cheap track tyres - Nankang NSR2 and wasn't overly impressed.
I was in the Z4M on the 11:20. I saw 4 cars ahead of me dive into the pits so I assumed I missed the chequered flag and followed suit.
I then realised the session was still going so went back out, only to have the exact same thing happen again.

So I followed another 4 cars in assuming I missed the flag again but the light was still green. Decided to call it quits then as there was only 1 minute left.

Driving standards on the 11:20 were really good. Except perhaps for the red Porsche 911 GT3 who wasn't moving over in a hurry.

Top effort on that by the way, it happened a little bit in front of me. Just saw smoke, and then an Integra having adventures in the gravel.

Great event well run , even nicer when the sun came out !!! Fun on track too with everybody being well behaved (11.20 session)

To echo what Tux said - well done to everyone on the 11:20 session, no red flags & the driving was better than I've seen on these events previously. What happened to everyone at the end though? I was worried that I'd missed the chequered flag, the track was empty.
Green Noble didn't half shift, 'where did that come from' went through my mind a few times as he flew past!!! (Silver Elise)
Sorry it was the cool air and new Trofeo R tyres , lots of grip and she felt quick on low boost !!!

Thanks Graham for the cool photo's !!

I struggled a bit but I was on road tyres rather than the 888's that I've been using for previous track days. Annoyingly I was wondering if the NS2R's would be a good replacement but that doesn't sound promising, what pressures were you running?
