The driving standards of the 10:10 session were well below that of a typical track day. The chap in the blue Subaru was by far the worst - absolutely crawling round the corners and then mashing the throttle up the straights. Completely selfish and it makes the other drivers following so frustrated that they end up going for a dangerous overtake.
If it was the Blobeye then that was ours and my Mrs was out on track at the time. Apologies if she held you up at all but we're still learning the car and the brakes didn't do too well on track unfortunately. As for dangerous overtakes, well she was crawling around corners at times because people were behaving like absolute idiots at times on that session, overtaking on both sides etc. It's all a bit much when you're trying to follow the rules and stay out of peoples' paths. Genuinely nothing selfish about it though or any kind of trying to prove the car is faster than anyone else's, I assure you. The way some people were pissing about on the pit straight and into the first corner was unreal.
I personally really felt the weight of the car on my session and it has certainly highlighted a number of improvements we need to make. I was on the 11:20 and found myself needing to stay out of most peoples' way too. The brakes as they are seem to be absolutely terrible on track so that's where the next money will be spent.
I enjoyed the day otherwise but because of us having a session each we didn't make it to the general area until most cars had gone, which was a shame.
I loved the green Noble.
I kept thinking "st st, need to get out of the way" It just appeared from nowhere! Lovely car.
Noticed someone mentioned running road tyres, we were too. Wasn't great. Had it been a full day we'd have had semi slicks on but seemed a lot of hassle for a couple of short sessions.

That might explain it, never seen that before, no need to do that imho just ease off, keep off the racing line where possible and watch your mirrors, think you were going too slow even for a slow down lap that's what may have caused the negative comments. Lovely car btw
Thanks, I hear what you're saying... note to self then, go faster on slow down!.. it was also a new car to me, so maybe I was being overly careful perhaps.I'm back there on the 7th November on one of the Silverstone full track days on the GP track, can't wait.. doubt I'll be blessed with the brilliant weather we got today mind... were you in the yellow GT3RS then? It looked mega! (any noise issues like they suggested in briefing?)

Glad he enjoyed it! Probably very nervous!!!
Thanks again for the help, if you also Kettering way do feel free to wave if you see me in Bubli or my Red Elan
Didn't realise you were local! I'm only up the road in Corby. If you see a Nitrous Blue Focus RS flash you (or a silver Audi A2 for that matter) give you a flash, that'll be me. Bubli looked superb!!!Thanks again for the help, if you also Kettering way do feel free to wave if you see me in Bubli or my Red Elan

Early on in the 9am session yeh? No I was trying to keep up!! you were pushing on and I definitely remember thinking how good you were into brooklands/luffield
Yep, that was me! (Thanks) I try and stay out the way on the straights, what with having only 200bhp.My brother grabbed my camera for the session, and there's some good ones of us both coming through copse.

Great day and thanks again to PH for organising this!
Had a good time on track in the 9.35 apart from completely cooking the brakes! And nearly shaking the car to death! ?? Sorry if i got in anyones way (silver 1series 123d coupe) tried my best to get out of the way of those in faster machinery!
Would have been better if my brakes didnt overheat and didnt have to keep taking slow part laps to cool them off. Seems i wasnt the only one though! Glad i cought up with the driver of the 120d hatch after the session , i was wondering how you were keeping pace, turns out my suspicions werr right about a remap! ???? also shout to one of the 197 blue clios, spent most of my session up behind you, cars were pretty evenly matched!
All in all grat day, good driving by all (imo in my session) and top cars for me in the day were the mint white Gt2 Club Sport (good to chat to you whoever you were) the Hakosuka GT-R and the 22B

Had the same issues with brakes and plenty of judder at high speed braking too. Managed to out run one clio (just) before the brakes became too hot.
Had a great day. Thanks to the PH team for a great day, and letting me have a passenger ride in a Caterham.

Great day out wandering around so many wonderful cars!
My highlight was stumbling across my previous car - E46 M3 and having a chat with his new owner Matt.
So a picture of the car I sold last summer on the left and the car I bought on the right:

Had fun in the 9:00 session, bit of to-ing and fro-ing with people backing off/cooling down every now and again (myself included) but all manageable.
Only issue was rear brakes.. the 'heat proof' paint proving not very..
Great little event this morning every some very nice cars and friendly people too. Got a lift down with a mate how owns a R.S. Megane. It was my 2nd sunday service in total my 1st being Ginetta last year. Nice little chilled morning out
Took a few photo while i was there didn't really get any track action so mainly from the paddock
