Sorry it took a bit longer than expected as I was having trouble emailing anything as they're about 10mb each. I was experimenting with a few camera settings and it didn't always work so apologies that some of them aren't very good! These are the ones I've pulled out for people so far...

GT86 - https://flic.kr/s/aHskKx6SuG
Noble - https://flic.kr/s/aHskMktzQM
Silver VX220 - https://flic.kr/s/aHskKc8LC9
TTRS - https://flic.kr/s/aHskKf6f2V
Yellow Ginetta - https://flic.kr/s/aHskKca6s1

If anyone else was in the 11:55 session then I've probably got a photo or 2 of you on track from the 1050 I took. Let me know which car you were in and I'll create an album you can download them from.
Many thanks, some great snaps there! I know the feeling, every time I shoot cars on track I end up with about 10,000 shots, of which 98% are scrap. lol

I realise its late and nobody will be awake but I've put up my static photos from the day. I'll upload my track photos tomorrow evening at a much earlier time biggrin These will also all be up on my facebook page tomorrow but the uploader isn't working properly tonight so I've given up on it.

Just to add, my only gripe with PHSS's is the way cars are parked. Much too close together and to uniform. It makes for very boring/challenging photo conditions! I know its due to space sometimes, but there was plenty at Silverstone...just something to think about.

Here's some from my static album:

Glad you enjoyed it. I'm surprised I passed the noise limit in truth.

If anyone has any pics or video of my car on track (red monaro in 9:35 session) please post them up. I'd be keen to hear how.it sounds from the outside.
I've got about half a lap of following your Monaro, however with my roof off, all you can hear is wind noise and some engine noise in the slower corners, I do remember it sounding amazing though! It's rare I can hear other's engine noise with my engine right behind my head but I definitely heard that rumble!
I've got about two laps of following you. It goes well on the straights and sounds lovely. You can hear your car on the video until I get on the throttle then it is drowned out. I'll get it on youtube as soon as I can.

Are all of the photos you took on the website? I haven't managed to find a single photo or video from the 14:10 session yet frown I know most people had gone home but there were at least a few people left taking photos

100% agree with this. The right car park where you come in was much better to walk round because you could actually see the cars and there was decent space between them. The traditional car park spacing in the main car park didn't work well for viewing the cars.

Great photos btw! Thanks

You clearly haven't been to many track days and that's fine, but equally it doesn't make you very qualified to comment on the standard of driving across track days in general. Yes silver turbo was in my group of friends there on Sunday. I didn't comment on his driving, nor any of the other half dozen cars moaned about on this thread, just made my own observations if you re-read my comments.

You just sound like your vexed at getting over taken so quickly, it happens, move on. Race control are very hot on dangerous driving at Silverstone and had anyone stepped out of line they would have seen it and taken action.
A few of us have wink. The rules are pretty simple. Overtake on the left (which it sounds like the silver 997T didn't) and only by invitation. It's a pretty simple rule! I could have overtaken a few people on bends since I have 'experience' but why risk it?

To me it sounds like you are propping up your friend no matter what wink. I take you missed where it said he undertook on the right?

But as said before, the standard of driving on smaller sessions tends to be worse IMO for many reasons, and let's be honest, race control may be hot on bad driving but on a 30 minute session what will it achieve? Overall I couldn't really moan. Some people hung on the straights a little much with a pile of people building behind them in the bends at times but for the best part it was pretty good smile.

For me it was nice to have a car that didn't take a wee on track!

Bring on the next one.

Yeah, it's one of those car parks where I don't bother taking many photos! Probably an extra headache for PH to sort that out just for us photography nerds.

Hear, hear.

The briefing was pretty clear, do not overtake in the braking zone or during a corner. And yet, just as I was about to turn into Brooklands, deep in the braking zone, there he was on my inside.

I have, there's a very simple rule that we all abide by - overtake on the left only. It's not a hard rule to abide by.

Some good news on the smokey Focus front; discovered today the timing pin black in the engine block had vibrated loose and gone for a wander, hence the rapid drizzling of Shell Helix served over the exhaust manifold. Cost to fix-hopefully around a tenner.

Result!

I took quite a few (1000) photos of the 11:55 session, it's taken some getting through them but here's a selection, including the noble mid spin... I've got a few messages about pictures and I'll work my way through them, let me know if you were also in the session and I might have a few photos to send you. smile
I was in the white Westfield that session smile

Shame I didn't get track time (was too bothered about the sound limit - 106db at static)

Does anyone know the name of the company on the leaflet that was left on the windscreens as I never got one ?!
Airborne Garage - http://www.airbornegarage.co.uk/

I have used them a couple of times for jobs where I CBA to mess around getting the car on 4 axle stands at the same time. Not sure why there aren't more places offering this sort of thing as it can make some jobs relatively painless.

There used to be one on the Fletchamstead Highway in Coventry, but they don't offer that service now, citing insurance.
