Airborne Garage - http://www.airbornegarage.co.uk/

I have used them a couple of times for jobs where I CBA to mess around getting the car on 4 axle stands at the same time. Not sure why there aren't more places offering this sort of thing as it can make some jobs relatively painless.
There used to be one on the Fletchamstead Highway in Coventry, but they don't offer that service now, citing insurance.
Ramp & Wrench. I used them a lot whilst I was living in Coventry and working on my old MX5. After they'd sold up I had to change the diff in my allocated parking space in the pouring rain. Not fun.

Glad you enjoyed it. I'm surprised I passed the noise limit in truth.

If anyone has any pics or video of my car on track (red monaro in 9:35 session) please post them up. I'd be keen to hear how.it sounds from the outside.
I've got about half a lap of following your Monaro, however with my roof off, all you can hear is wind noise and some engine noise in the slower corners, I do remember it sounding amazing though! It's rare I can hear other's engine noise with my engine right behind my head but I definitely heard that rumble!
I've got about two laps of following you. It goes well on the straights and sounds lovely. You can hear your car on the video until I get on the throttle then it is drowned out. I'll get it on youtube as soon as I can.
Thatd be great cheers.

Yeah it goes OK on the straights but corners are a different story. Partly weight, but mostly my utter lack of skill I'm sure.

Hope I didnt hold you guys up.

Not really, I followed for a bit then slipped past when you lifted off. Quite a few others didn't extend that courtesy but I can't really complain. It's not much fun for them if they're taking their pride and joy out on track for what is billed as a taster session and people are having a go that they aren't cruising down every straight (the only place they might feel comfortable to safely give it the beans) - certainly in the Novice sessions anyway. If someone's on me for two corners then I'll lift as I exit to let them go by but it takes time to get used to checking mirrors and controlling a car on the limit (of your abilities).

Not at all, nobody held me up for any significant amount of time, you were very helpful in the Monaro and very quick on the straights. It's surely all about being courteous and moving over when there is chance which everybody did in my experience. It was a novice session so nobody could expect the driving to be perfect but in my eyes it was brilliant. Haven't stopped thinking about it since Sunday! Driving my works van is such a bore in comparison!

South Oxfordshire/North/West Berkshire I can recommend http://thisisyourgarage.com/ Especially as they have my car on their home page! smile

I know, it surprises me at times with what it can keep pace with. All down to the remap, i kept up with the 123d silver coupe which was nice. We both had plenty of judder and fade from the brakes which meant i couldnt push hard for long.

I also just re-watched the video - as the loudest thing in my car was my keys moving about, or me giggling at the fire from NJ72's RX8, you can really hear that engine of yours. I was gutted that i was on the same session as you, as i really wanted to hear you out on track, but was very happy to be behind you for a good stint about 9 mins into the session.

I had to stitch 3 videos into one, so about 12 mins in there is a bit of a jump, and the same again at about 23 mins.

I do remember you coming up behind me thinking 'that cant be standard' or 'is my car fooked' lol! Hoping to get a remapon mine soon to around 240/250. And as you said would have been nice to push abit harder were it not for savage brake judder!!

Look forward to seeing the vid

Thanks for the feedback too. The remap is deffo worth it IMO. Also, didnt mean to inject that split second fear of "oh cr@p, my car is fooked". I hate that moment of panic before realising everything is ok. I had the same when the judder first kicked in!

This was 105Db as it was a Sunday, they were pretty lenient though!
