We fancy visiting a Euro hillclimb this year, you know the sort we see on youtube: long track on public roads, decent single seaters, old group B and DTM cars in the mix.... France, Western Germany or Switzerland preferably. Anyone any experiences or recommendations?

FIA euro and international Hill climb championships are where you see the mega stuff:

Rechberg is really good as is St Ursanne- Les Rangers.

some of the noises and speed of these things has to be seen and heard. unreal.

I went to Rechbergrennen in 2015. It's bloody spectacular. Full written account with plenty of photos here: http://www.motorcardiaries.co.uk/2015/all-roads-le...

It certainly does look spectacular, but a little further than we really want to travel. Waiting for the FIA calendars to be finalised and then will decide.
