PH Le Mans 2017 is go!

Join us at the 24-Hour with 1st Tickets camping

Roll up roll up! January is over, so it's time to forget about those blues and get booked on the 2017 PH Le Mans trip.

We have two PHLM17 campsites this year. You can stay on our established Bleu Nord campsite, starting at £380 per person, with 450 PHers, or upgrade to our premium Premier Vert campsite in the heart of the circuit.

Premier Vert starts at £600 per person, and boasts a secluded secure location inside the circuit away from other campsites. It's just a stone throw from the Chappelle Curve and the circuit tram stop is a brief walk away, allowing easy access into town in the evening.

At both campsites you can enjoy the superb benefits of staying with us and our longstanding partner, 1st Tickets, which include but are not limited to:

- General admission to the race is included
- Up to five-day return Channel crossings are available
- Pre-allocated camping pitches mean there's no rush - your space will be set out for you, whenever you arrive
- Free Wi-Fi access so you don't have to rely on patchy and expensive 3G
- Cooked meals included (3x full English breakfast and 3x evening meals)
- Fenced perimeter for your peace of mind
- On-site security, including night patrols at the weekend, to protect your car and belongings
- Private toilets and warm showers, so no long queues for filthy facilities
- Large marquee with cash bar - a social hub for all campers whatever the weather, with live TV coverage of the race so you don't miss any of the action.

So what're you waiting for? Book your space now to avoid disappointment and take a look at the full options available at our two campsites. You can catch a glimpse of what we got up to in 2016 here. If you've never been before, our Le Mans forum is a handy place to chat with other PHers about your plans. Porsche's round up from last year is worth a watch too!

The camp sites can be accessed from Wednesday - Monday, so they're quite flexible to however you'd like to travel. The prices include 3x cooked breakfast and 3x evening meals, but it's entirely up to you when you have them.

Personally I'd recommend travelling down on Thursday to avoid the worst of the traffic on Friday. And then you can come to the PistonHeads Friday Service too of course! More details on that to follow.

Premier Vert is an excellent site. It location inside the circuit gives it a good mix of proximity to the track and seclusion.

Here is what one of our customers had to say about his stay on PV last year:

Here's the campsite and turning 90 degrees this was the view...

I went on my own and stayed on Premier Vert last year.

Everyone was really friendly, food & facilities were great and access in and out of the circuit was brilliant. I left the circuit a couple of hours after the end of the race and it took 5 minutes to get out onto the public roads - never experienced anything like that at such an enormous event. It's smaller than BN but the location by Tetre Rouge around 100m from the track is what did it for me. Next time I go I'll stay on PV again without any hesitation.

How did the PH sites (especially PV) cope with the wet weather last year?

I was at Beausejour, just inside the Porsche Curves, last year and it was bad. The ground was completely sodden. We couldn't move the car - had to be pushed out on the Sunday afternoon.

It was absolutely fine, no boggy bits, pathways were solid, little bit of a puddle round by the public entrance but nothing anyone can do about that and miles from the actual 1st Tickets site anyway.

Pre-erected tents stayed dry, as did the beer tent which is the most important thing! biggrin

2016 was an extremely wet year. There was a lot of heavy rain the week before the race right up to Thursday.

Premier Vert faired very well last year in the wet too. The site has a slight gradient so all the rainwater drained away well. All the cars were parked in the secure parking on tarmac so there was no issues for the cars either.

I spoke with Brian earlier at 1st Tickets on my booking and he said take up of the private camping at Bleu Nord and Premier Vert was progressing well - if you're considering expressing interest in either campsite, I'd recommend you get in touch with him sooner rather than later as there's normally a rush in March & for those that need a "pass out/bail granting" you'll need a bit of time to work on the domestic senior management!
