I'm not definite about that 136 mph pass which is why I was asking for verifcation, so I'm quite happy to split last place with you.

I probably didn't get anything recorded as my car wasn't given a number.

I think I saw 136 flash upon your board when I was running next to you , you passed me as I clocked up 130.

Except that you can't really compare speeds from different days: the position of the timing gear, wind speed and other environmental factors do make a significant difference.

Sorry....I've spotted another error in the table. The 997 did 170 as I recall, not 160.

Thanks for verifying that Muncher, it will be interesting to see if your new exhaust effects the top speed, though obviously weather conditions play their part.

With regards the GT3, didn't think they could be tuned a huge amount more. DMS say only another 20 bhp.

Standard GT3 MkI: 360 bhp
Standard GT3 MkII: 380 bhp
Standard GT3 RS: 381 bhp

Standard GT3RS not unusual to see 400bhp on rolling roads tho.

I'll wager DMS Rob was only talking about ECU & perhaps also coupled to exhaust changes anyway, not engine mods.

Anyone considered letting bikes in on this or is mixing a bit of a nono. New thous are supposed to be restricted to 186 (odd figure as it is 300 kmph ) and it would be interesting to see if they can go faster........

And, as examples:

Manthey Tuned GT3 Mk1: 395 bhp (extra 35)
Manthey Tuned GT3 MkII: 410 bhp (extra 30)

I also know of, as I said, a 450 bhp GT3 MkII - that's an extra 70 bhp.

Hmmm...wondering who's GT3 you're talking about? A certain secretive PHer perhaps?

F40 at the next one to spoil the party guys?
