Something quite ironic about Porschenheaders forking out cash to pay for another Porsche marketing event. Genius from the manufacturer
Can say I see anything wrong with the bit that says 100% of the fees goes to a child mental health charity.
I think the value of the event is not about ticket receipts to Porsche

So 200 car capacity for this, therefore 200 tickets have already been sold. Yet when I went to add myself to the wait-list in the usual way and I have the 111th slot?

That makes perfect sense. Jolly good!

The waitlist is on the ticketing website. Confusing much!

I just see 'unavailable' on Eventbrite and no 'waitlist' option...

Click details then it gives the option to join the waitlist.

I assume it's ok to park up nearby and have a wander around?
Unfortunately we can't really accommodate walk ins for this event, as Porsche are limited on staff and the number of people they can have in the dealership this time around.

No idea whether I am on the right reserve list or not, back to the old way of doing it next time please

Ben sorry for the moan I know a lot of effort goes into organising these but got to say this and Morgan have been far from simple for those attending. And many of those who have been long term supporters, attendees and advocates of Sunday services have missed out on attending (appreciate new blood is also good) because the Sunday Service thread wasn’t updated with it going live like usual.

Regarding the PH list I suspect you might find an extra 100 people attend that don't have a ticket assuming that is the reserve list.

If you only put yourself on the PH list then you are on the wrong list.

Apologies Rob, definitely my bad for not getting it onto the Sunday Service forum thread. While I appreciate it's tricky having a slightly different booking system for a few of our events, we do try to make it as clear as possible in the articles how to book tickets.

The calendar event itself also states that adding your name to the calendar does not guarantee entry, and it also provides a link to get tickets. We always try to use our (very dated) booking system where possible, but there's a few times a year when we can't.

Happy to take suggestions on how to make it clearer when there's a different booking platform to use – perhaps we don't have the event in our calendar at all to avoid confusion, but it would be a shame for it to appear like we're not doing anything for those looking at the calendar.

How about PH staff updating the calendar event list when bookings are made on external platforms (either automatically if that is possible, or manually)?

That way the definitive booking is in the external platform, and the PH event calendar list reflects who has booked.

Thanks Jeremy! I'll ask the tech team what's possible.

FWIW, clicking 'details' via the Eventbrite Android app did nothing.

However, the waitlist did appear if I went to the Eventbrite website on a Chrome tab, so did it that way. Dead easy coffee

The idea of making a charity donation is good. Also, it must help reduce no-show's. People are a bit more committed when they've paid for it!

I 'think' I am on the Wait List - will somebody contact me if I am successful in being able to buy a ticket? How will I know?

Many thanks, CycleSi (991 turbo S)

Yes if a ticket becomes available, you'll get an email from Eventbrite with the opportunity to purchase.
