Hill runs are 10-4 with a 1 hour gap in the middle for lunch. Signing on can take a long time as people don't have their licences or haven't completed the online sign on and we will have that running from around half 8. Gates will open at 8am, i recommend that you walk the hill if you have never been before! Details regarding the signing on will go out in the coming weeks and paddock plan/final instructions will appear about 2 weeks before the event.
Great information, thanks. I’ve done the RS Clubman licence for me and my passengers and will keep an eye out for emails nearer the time.

Out of interest how much time is there between the 4 runs normally?

Is there any reason why I couldn’t book a slot on the available spaces. It seems you still get 4 runs up.

Lots of variables in that one, but with 150 cars and no red flags you can assume for around 75 minuets between runs. Last year we had a lot of issues with people rejoining the line immediately after their run which made things difficult for our paddock staff who were trying to pull cars out for their runs and did slow it all up. If the day runs smoothly we will sell extra runs but that is entirely depends on everyone's behaviour! wink

Great info - I’ll try not to be the reason for a red flag albeit it is an Alfa biggrin

That is the big variable. The guys there seemed to be getting on top of the running order by the end of the year last year.

The event we were at with PH the queuing was terrible. Taking an hour or so just to get from paddock spaces to the hill(PH parking was right at the top / arse end of the paddock) because of people just going whenever rather than in the proper rotation. Took to mid afternoon to get all 4 runs in.

Next event I did it started off with people ignoring the system again. It got so bad with a certain group being allowed through again and again while the rest of us were held up I got quite grumpy with staff there as there were a few cars I'd seen have about 6 runs to my 1. Marshalls actually got strict with people after that and got things going properly and the afternoon was all good and fair and it only took about 5-10 mins to queue to get each run in.

Next one they were on the ball from the off and it all ran perfectly smoothly. Was so efficient at this one that you barely had a chance for a wander / chat / spectating as it was your go again every 30-45 mins. Could easily have been done well before lunch but I skipped a few rotations to go watch some runs. Then as everyone was done, as above they opened up to be able to buy more runs if wanted.

So hopefully will all go as per the 3rd event this year smile

Some good lessons learnt there - let’s hope for the same in April.

I believe those are for the other car clubs so anyone that doesn't belong to one of those clubs will have their order cancelled. I'm afraid all of the hill runs allocated to PistonHeads have sold out.

Is there supposed to be a Pistonheads option for general admission?
Trying to sign up but it wants me to pick a car club...

Hello @MorganFoth,
I would like to buy the ticket from you .
I have tried emailing you but was unsuccessful as your profile doesn't allow this, could you try emailing me please?
Thanks!

I can't say for certain but I very much doubt it!

I assumed normal track day rules apply.. you're not covered. On the plus side... it's all mainly second gear and there's no other people to crash into, so the only real risk is slithering off into a gravel trap like an idiot. Ask me how I know wink

It's highly unlikely that your standard road car insurance will cover you on the hill.

Drivers on the hill - signing on

For all drivers on the hill: The majority have still not signed on, which is a requirement prior to the event. To do this you'll need to get your free RS clubman licence here (takes two minutes - leave the 'club' section blank) and then complete the Prescott form here (also take two minutes - your club is PistonHeads).
