how did u figure 0.67 and 3-4 mph curious?

Estimate based on the RPM drop. There are many gear related programs on the net that can show you the RPM drops. 0.67 is a common ratio for a taller 6th on these gearboxes and an RPM drop of 2200RPMs would give you that ratio. The 3-4mph are based on about 1/2 second at those speeds, it is only an estimate, but should not be far off from 5 mph.

only one run for me, so i do need the official speed from the timers, but speedo was 181mph. Looks like a doggy earth stopped powering the ECU at this speed, and the engine just switched off!!!

I need the speed trap reading, but I've made a note.

A knackered undertray 167 mph. Would be helpful if service depts would bolt them back on properly when they work on a car.

155mph - Noble 3R

Nice to meet some new people. Had to leave early in the end as Flu finally got the better of me, and my body couldn't take the tropical temperatures any more

131mph in the Scumbaru WRX Sti Chav-spec.... in fourth gear! Gets up to 120mph in a few yards then does nothing thanks to the double decker bus front end. BAck section twisties were fun tho'. Need some tips off Smithy tho' by all accounts... only sideways occasionally, not constantly

But did you have a hurricane headwind giving you gyp all day?

The wind Was severely slowing me (and others) as I'd normally see 135 easily from her - the speedo reads spot on 1 to 2% over - hence the 140's I've seen before on the clock at other proving grounds

Hi Guys
Just to add mine in: 996TT X50 ----> 178m/h or 287 Km/h
Great Day and Great times, next time I will be better prepared with at least 98RON and maybe with some less wind I will improve it...
Have you thought about having another laser at the start of the straight so you can have entry velocity and time taken to 2nd laser?
That would have been great....

Leon is your car OK?

Cheers until next time..

Dont know how to add myself to the list but Charlieboy or should I say Charliegirl as my wife hit the best speed on the day Audi S4 Avant 143mph. Just out of interest my car was a good 7 mph down on last time can I contribute this to the head wind???

Charlie, I've added your car to the list. The lower speeds can partially be put down to the headwind.

dj_kam 109mph in a Citroen C2 VTS whilst exiting the grounds.

Not bad speedo accuracy as the car was indicating 111mph.

A risible 183 with a partially denuded boost pipe and yes, a particularly unfortunate dose of Odinese flatulence.

Will be back next time with 570bhp, 620ftlb, an Essex inflection and no excuses.

DeR.

Edited to abuse the odious, communist, greenslime, filthy dogs who threaten this last bastion of unrestrained, excessive, automotive hedonism with their pitiful, heinous objections to the glories of Modenese flattened crank.
