146 in the sideways mobile - Headwind and a face like it's been punched meant the scoob was well down.

Great day, great people. Special thanks to Ian 550Hep for the ride.

Cheers

You are welcome smiffy, I have been driving it for 6k miles and I am only just about able to hold it in the bends you drove it like that first corner!!! By the 5th corner you had it actually dancing... :-) nice to see what the old girl can do, I did try to do the same and went on my little excursion, need drifting lessons I think!!

Cheers fella....

Maybe have a word with Trackdemon, he seemed pretty good at drifting his NSX

Sounds like a plan - was that the orange one that was there for a while towards the end of the last VMAX?

I know the car, remember taking some pics down at bottom bend and I was convinced you were going to crash you went in so hot, queue lots of tyre smoke Very cool.
I've finally managed to get 'ahead of the slide' in the NSX, a bl00dy tricky little bugger to drift with no LSD but the engine out the back helps it swing out nicely.... I'll be looking to grab a ride if poss next time...
550hep - it'd be a damn pleasure to try the 550, I understand that they are rather good drift cars. You should ride the NSX with me first

Anytime you want a little instruction

......

Go see Don Palmer or similar

I have to admit to a deep yearning love for the 550 now though. Talk about a car made for drifting! Sure, the old girl has a little weight to throw around but you can do it all on the throttle and it's wonderfully balanced. And that's before we talk about the sheer grunt, oh and did I mention the sound or the interior... etc etc. Pure automotive porn. Ah.

The scoob on the otherhand is naturally set up for understeer and 4 wheel drift. The only problem with that is that Trackdemon wants to see the car at 90 degrees and lots of opposite lock, but the natural stance for the P1 is sideways with NO lock whatsoever - just lots of small corrections during the 4 wheel drift and controlling when it grabs at the front with the throttle. You *can* be brutal and do the oversteer thing, but then you don't get to drive around Lambos and Porsches in the bottom corner

Thanks again to all the rides and to Neil for proving that you can have just as much fun in a few grand of Golf as well as 100k of exotica.

Vmax - great people. Simple as that.

Again, a real pleasure Ian - cheers.

Spot on!

I'm failing to see whats wrong with this viewpoint?

Perhaps a quick key swap at VMAX11?

Love to!

As most will testify I find sideways the only way to fly, but with a 4 wheel drift the front wheels are pointing largely the same way as the rears (roughly same slip angle on all tyres) so it looks pants in the photos. It's quite different in real life though

Look forward to experiencing first hand, & I have some ideas on coaxing the P1 broadside I'll give you a few pointers on the NSX beforehand - its a bl00dy tricky bugger to control at speed!!!

Darren,

Any idea on the M6 speed?...As discussed the limiter kicked in about 100m from the barriers on the right..so a little boring but...Lost interest by the time i reached the beams!!...however did keep my foot in a couple of times so would be interested to see the final results...

Reckon there should be a trophy for best ever VMAX smoking start.....and the winner is...

I thank you
