Some bloody impressive speeds there! it sounds like the conditions were just about perfect. The modified 911s must be carrying some serious horses to outdo the CGT. Gutted I couldn't make this one, hope to see you guys at the next! well done Leon and Dave!

Dave and I went head to head with the CGT. The CGT went through at 195mph, we had a 196!

I think Paul (w8pmc) said that he hit over 180 in his M5. Think it might have been 181mph.

Just a small correction. The 205Gti belongs to and was driven by my mate mr-scott.

We had a mysterious misfire around 6k rpm today.
Yesterday it was pulling 130 uphill

on a private road of course

Paul has claimed exactly 180 on another forum, although I know he was trying to get 181 due to DMS Rob's M5 doing 181 earlier in the year. I'll put 180 in for now. Seems to be a bit of a spread of speeds for the CGT, so I'll wait for further clarification before posting anything.

Scott. It was so frustrating. We're wondering if being low on fuel and having a tank surge problem coming off the bend was causing the loss of power. It pulled strongly past 6k rpm after we tanked up and headed home.

I think it was markxw I was with in an M3 CSL. He hit 0 on one run, and 156mph the next. The speeds felt the same funnily enough though.

Oh and the guy in the Gallardo Spyder hit 176 when I rode with him.
