Don't get too worried, it's just that I've got a stockpile of cartridges and it might be a way of getting rid of a few crates...

provided it's not the 28th May I'm up for this....

Usually you can use your own cartridges provided they're std!!

But what about lead shot and plastic wads? Aren't there rules on only using steel shot and biodegradeable wads a lot of places now?

Ah, well, they have been there a while now. Don't think they've gone unstable yet though

If anyone's interested, I've got various skeet and game cartridges. Winchester and Fiocchi mainly. Have to do a stock check if anyone wants them for a knock down price. Can't really sell them on ebay irked

Pretty sure they only allow fibre wads at Bisley. Tertius will know but I'm 99% confident that plastic wads are a no no.

Ok, to clarify a few questions:

1. Complete beginners are no problem at all, obviously you'll be part of the novice group, however, its worth remembering that even that group is likely to be split up further: there will be no more than 4 or 5 people per instructor/guide. If we have 5 total beginners you can all go together and learn together.

2. Cartridges, yes you can use your own but they must be felt or fibre wads, no plastic wads at BSG, though lead is fine. It'll be slightly cheaper if you do this - I'll have to check the exact pricing. Bear in mind that Bisley's own cartridges are fairly cheap - re-branded Eley IIRC - so it won't be massively cheaper.

3. Gun hire, if required, is included, whether you class yourself as novice or experienced

As above fibre (or felt) only at BSG.

Better make sure we ask for their 28gm cartridges then ...

They must have been the blue sub-sonics they sometimes have, on the plus side they are very light for beginners though ...

For the time being I'm ignoring "maybe/possibly/depending on date" stuff - I just want to get an idea of the level of interest.

Anyone else feel free to add yourself to the list.

In a week or so I'll propose some dates and we'll take it from there.

Oh, and if I've misrepresented anyone's PH ID feel free to put me right ...
